Fab resort - California side always busy. Epic tree runs after a good storm and Mott Canyon offers a challenge for those that like to push themselves.

Heavenly is an amazing resort. Its busy for a reason. This resort is perfect for a big group trip, theres so many runs and you can choose your side on California or Nevada. You cant go wrong with choosing Heavenly.

I took beginner lessons at Heavenly, and the instructors and beginner area were all great and helped get my confidence in skiing up. There was only one green run near the learning area, which turned out to be a little too difficult for me, but would be fun for beginner-intermediate skiers.
There is a lot of lodging in South Lake Tahoe nearby, good food, a nice apres vibe, and it's generally a good place to bring even your friends who don't ski or snowboard.

Beautiful resort with a lot of options for beginners to advanced. Lots of people and quite pricey so be warned if going on the weekend or peak season.

I had clear blue skies while I was here and the views are probably the best of any ski resort Ive been to. Recommend staying on the Nevada side as its a lot more cost-effective. Stagecoach ski lift has free parking and is not that far from Carson City. Ski lifts are pretty efficient, but there are some very busy sections on the mountain with beginners and learners are. Lots of sections on the mountain are only blue and black runs so be aware of where youre going. Stagecoach ski lift as an example only Services, blue and black. Snow for this time of the year was very good, but you couldnt ski right down into Tahoe.
I recommend if for no other reason than the view

Loved going to Heavenly! There is one main gondola that takes you up to the ski resort, that gondola can run a little slow. Super great beginner green/blue runs that are actually interesting with twists and turns. The ski school was great, as a beginner adult I didnt feel awkward or embarrassed. Overall would definitely recommend Heavenly for your next ski trip in California/Nevada!

Good variety of terrain. Lifts efficient & can find lifts that arent too crowded. Is usually a wait for gondola at base however.

I had one of the worst skiing experiences ever at Heavenly! On average you get a whole bunch of people in over their heads trying to make it down, and these people that dont know what theyre doing are bombing the hill out of control. That wasnt the worst thing that happened though. The worst thing was actually finding a run with only one other pretentious A Hole that was still bombing right for me with no one else around. I asked the guy what his problem was being that he didnt have any knowledge of the responsibility code. The pos thought he was in the right because he knows people that run Heavenly. Needless to say Ill never go back there even if the views are nice

Heavenly is a great place to ski for beginners to experienced skiers. On the pricier side, but you cant beat South Lake Tahoe!

I love heavenly for the beautiful views of the Lake. The slopes are great but unfortunately I havent explore all the mountain yet.
There is 3 slopes for the green (big easy) I think the first one is very small but very inclined for beginners to start in my opinion, the other two green slopes are kinda hard for snowboards to get in since there is a lot of flat and we have to walk some distance but other that that are perfect to beginners to start. The intermediate slopes are great, I love it and again, the views are exceptional.
The village at heavenly at night gets very full
of people and fun to spend the night at a bar I had met a lot of people and made lot friend.
Pros:
Nice and family friendly village where you can spend all day walking, eating, drinking etc.
Beautiful mountain and exceptional views from the slopes (intermediate and higher slopes only).
Wonderful people and great connections you can make if you are a social person. All
People I had met is so friendly and supportive if the see you struggling at the slopes.
Cons:
Insane cost of lift tickets.
Food, drinks are also expensive.
Hotels at the resort are also so expensive.
I wanted to add that parking is very limited, theirs is the main parking that cost $25 and a further one but bigger that is $20 for the day. And the rest of the parking are 2 hours only so be aware. Its kinda lame that if you want to go eat to another place to get food and you leave then you have to pay for parking again.
