I have been skiing at Madonna do Campiglio for many years, since 2018. The resort has only got better!! They have invested in new lifts updating old chairs for comfort and to speed up queues. The all area pass gives plenty of run options, you won’t get bored being there. And there is a good number of black runs, some very advanced, scattered about. The resort is still very family friendly with wide blues. Would absolutely recommend!!

My experience at this resort was on a school ski trip. The weather was amazing, the people were so friendly, snow was fabulous. There were so many different types of slopes to ski down. Really recommend for groups of friends or families!

Madonna di Campiglio is a great resort for snow sports. There are several parks for those who enjoy jumpd/trick riding. Quite a large ski area with distinct areas. You can go off on ski/boarding days skiing to other resorts. Makes for a feeling of touring rather than just going up and down all the time. Great to travel to Folgarida, Marilleva, Groste or Pinzolo. The are is pretty snow sure with the vast majority or runs having snow canons as a back up. The town itself is very pretty, not a purpose built ski resort. Lots of bars and restaurants for the evenings. Not massive on apres ski although there are a few options. I don't think there are great options for off piste if that's your thing, but plenty of variety of pistes. Not many flat spots if you are boarding except for a section of piste 60 around the bottom of the Groste area. These can be avoided however.

Great resort although not much snow this year. Staff did well to keep it all open with artificial snow. Lots of runs of varying steepnesses and very good beer prices even all the way up the mountain.

Whilst many of the Dolomites resorts were snowless, Campiglio had a good amount of well groomed pistes and was surprisingly quiet. Excellent restaurant at the top of Groste

A very fashionable resort amongst the Italians. Can be very busy, but when I went it was still school time in Italy and UK had just broken up. So was not busy and pistes fairly quiet, rarely had to queue more than a few minutes for any lift. Pistes very well groomed, every day. Many restaurants on the pistes, meeting all tastes. Some apres up on the pistes. Mix of runs catering for beginner to Advanced, limited for expert. 3 or 4 different areas to ski, each with own ski park, one of which has competition level jumps. Lits are a mix, still some slow chairs.

Had an acceptable hotel near the top of town. Food was a bit basic. Could walk up the hill a short way to ride down to the gondola. The footpaths were very slippery to walk on, and the hill was quite steep, so we did not go down into town too much to check out the evening partying, and made sure we returned to the same place to walk back to the hotel.

During the week, the runs were very icy, so not the most pleasant of boarding weeks. Near the end of the day, we had to keep doing the same black run down to the gondola to keep over our side of the mountain. The blue runs are very flat here, requiring some walking near the bottom, unless you are incredibly good / full of energy (getting too old).

Many lifts. If you stay in Madonna and go in the opposite way to people coming over to Madonna, then you can avoid many queues. With so many lifts, it means the runs are short, which was disappointing.

The first impression you will have of Madonna di campiglio is the beauty of the area set in the Brennta Dolomites it really is a feast for the eyes. On my visit I was lucky to have fresh snowfall for the first three days. Although this restricted visibility because the majority of pistes are tree lined it was a true winter wonderland. With three separate areas all lift connected you never need to be bored because of repetition. The town itself is quite large and its a good idea to check your accommodation for proximity to a lift. Where I stayed it was two minutes walk to the Cinque Lago lift which I found perfect for accessing the whole area. Overall a five star trip

Glorious place to visit but less if it is a winter with less snow as not as high as some. Very pretty runs & plenty of them, if you buy the full ski pass. Food is mega delicious & NOT expensive on the mountain & in the resort.

Madonna di Campiglio is a beautiful ski area with awesome vistas. Lots of tree lined skiing so bad weather shouldn't be a problem. Slopes are well maintained and well graded. A fairly large ski area should cater for all levels but off piste options are limited. Park options are great if that's your thing. Plenty of options for skiing off to other towns as the area has links with other resorts. The town itself is lovely with a great town centre which has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. It has an upmarket feel to the place.

Madonna is a huge area. We particularly like the linked area of Pinzolo which has cruisy reds and blacks. Great for quiet advanced that do not want to get held up or have to navigate ski school trains.
Third time their so ticks all the boxes.

This time of year gets slushy coming back to the lower slopes.
Don't forget to race down the slalom that is famous and very steep.

I stayed at the Savoi Palace Hotel this was a good choice as its just 3 minutes walk to the 5lago gondola. This gets you into the system handy for Pinzola and the wider area. I found the pistes well groomed and was pleased with the snowfall during my stay . The first 3 days had persistent snow with the tree lined runs where perfect for giving good visibility. After this the weather cleared giving blue bird conditions on excellently groomed pistes. All in all a great trip.

Weather aside, had a good week skiing across the 150km of runs. We were glad that we were skiing and not snowboarding, as there are a lot of flattish blues interlinking the area. Would have liked more reds to choose from, particularly near the town for the last few runs. The blacks in the conditions we had, coupled with good piste bashing, made them relatively easy and a much nicer option than the blues.

There are 72 lifts. Most queues were short, especially if you plan to go in the opposite direction to people coming over from the neighbouring towns/villages (Pinzolo, Folgarida, and Marilleva). The length of the runs are quite short, so you will often be on these lifts.

Euro 400 for a lift pass for the week is expensive and it appears to be one of the more expensive resorts in Italy.

The Dolomiti scenery is wonderful to see.
Madonna di Campiglio is an enjoyable place to be.
