What Skiers Say About Canazei - Belvedere
Canazei attracts predominantly advanced and intermediate skiers seeking access to the Sella Ronda circuit and the wider Dolomiti Superski area. Reviewers consistently praise the extensive lift system, well-groomed pistes, efficient snow management, and scenic mountain views. The resort is noted for being more budget-friendly compared to other Dolomites resorts whilst maintaining quality infrastructure. Common criticisms include confusing piste maps, morning queues on the main gondola from the village, narrow runs in some areas, and limited off-piste opportunities. Several users mention that accommodation location matters due to non-free ski buses, and a few note recent restrictions on après-ski affecting the nightlife atmosphere.

Snow is good but can be especially icy on the end of february but its still really good
Its a good area having lots of lifts, slopes and areas.Restaurants are mostly good but we did not go to every restaurant there.
Loved it there and will come back.
No shortage of classic, dolomites mountain views and pretty, tyrolean style properties. The lift up from the town to the Sella Ronda is fast and efficient and at the end of the day you can ski all the way back into town on an easy red. Check the location of your accomodation when book as you could end up with a long walk to the list and unusually the ski buses aren't free in Canazei.
The snow management in the area is, in my opinion, amongst the best in the world. Runs are kept open and in great condition even when the snow is sparse, plus the lift system is modern and extensive.
The on mountain restaurants are plentiful and range from cheap and cheerful to gourmet, something for everyone!
The skiing is great and they can manage to get some very good quality skiing with very little snow, so if the reports says 40cm+ of snow, here there will be still good skiing.
Two great ski bowls just above the resort. Ski one value over to Arabba for more challenging steeps and across to Selva for some really nice easy blues in a bowl (and the mens downhill course too).
The dolomites are always amazing
A few nice bars including apres options. Some good restaurants including traditional Italian.
For some, the lack of off-piste opportunities may be a negative factor, however.
Pretty village, some characterful hotels amongst a reasonable range of accommodation (though very few budget level, unless S/C).
Essential bucket list material, well recommended!
