Tignes is fantastic for all abilities. The area is so large that you could ski a whole new patch every day of your skiing week. Theres a lot of ski in/out accommodation options, loads of restaurants and bars and some fantastic apres! Theres lot of easily accessible off piste areas also.

It was great and fun
Had bad runs in with some instructors off the slopes saying you should not learn in the alps.
But nost of them were awesome even gave free advices !

Tignes Val Claret is a great alternative to Val Disere, being slightly more cost effective on the accommodation front whilst sharing the same ski area.
Good night life - Cocoricco for apres is worth a visit

Tignes is the perfect resort to stay in as there is LOADS of skiing, however it is also easy to access other resorts such as Val D'isere/Val Claret. I have skied there for the last 2 years and will 100% visit again.

Tignes is one of my favourite resorts as it has such a range of runs and its so vast. Some beautiful red runs in particular. The apres in Le Lac is perfect at the Marmotte Arms. We hardly queued for any lifts all week and the runs werent too busy either. Always get great snow at Easter time too!

This resort has so many piste options. Im an intermediate skier and barely did the same run twice all week unless I needed to in order to make it back to the hotel or town. You also get access to Val DIsere resort with the same lift pass.

Food and drink was fine. Nothing particularly special but lots of options and plenty of apres opportunities if you wanted to partake.

I havent been to many resorts in my time but I would come back to Tignes to help improve my technique in a heartbeat.

My favourite place to ski, amazing variety of runs and good vibes. Such a cool way to get in a variety of runs in a really welcoming and fun place. THE BEST

Incredible resort with a huge amount of brilliant pisted skiing. Plenty of variation depending on your skill level. Awesome aprés at Follie. Super high skiing is available too, up to about 3500m. Highly recommend.

A brilliant region for varied skiing. I stayed in Tignes Val Claret, and we had the first cable car on our doorstep. You could access multiple mountains in the region all with breathtaking views and a variety of runs. You could also ski to nearby towns and either use the accessible bus system to return or the designated ski runs/mountain train.

A brilliant resort that Id hope to revisit one day!

Has a great range of runs and pretty big ski area. Pretty snow-sure with higher altitude slopes. Overall highly recommend as an option.

Tignes is a high altitude snow sure resort, deep in the French Alps. It has a well connected and large ski area linked with neighbouring Val D'Isere. Lifts are modern and speedy and get you to high altitude quickly. There is an abundance of blue and red runs as well as great beginner runs. off piste option are great. Tignes is a great early and late season resort due to its high altitude and easy access to its glacier. Accommodation options are great. Nightlife is ok, but the resort is more aimed at families that the young party scene. That said the famous Folie Douce bar in the slopes is close for a few party hours in the afternoon, just don't miss the last life back. There are 2 lower satellite villages at 1800m and 1550m if you prefer accommodation that is not above the tree line, both these resort are still very well connected with Les Brevieres having a picture postcard image with lots of chalets available. All in all a great place to visit if not a little on the dearer side of things. I guess you pay for the higher altitude and fantastic skiing conditions.

The slopes cater to all skill levels, and the lift system is efficient, so you can explore easily. The snow quality is fantastic, and the high altitude ensures great conditions all season. The accommodations are cozy, and theres plenty to do after skiing, from lively bars to relaxing spas. Its family-friendly too, with great ski schools and fun activities like sledding. Its a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the incredible experience.

Stayed and skied in Tignes twice now and its one of the best resorts in France providing plenty of slope variety, great snow at altitude and good mix of bars, restaurants and night life.

Worth getting the full area lift pass to take on the steep slopes in Val DIsere and for ease of getting to and from Folie Douce.

Our group was a mix of skiers and snowboarders and the terrain suited both.
We went during January and March and the lift lines were very short, or non existent in some parts.

Tignes is a fantastic all-rounder resort, high enough up in the valley to be guaranteed fantastic ski conditions at any point during the season. Amazing food, vibrant Aprés, it has everything you could want. I wish I was there right now!

The ski holidays I have spent in Tignes (Val Claret) were outstanding.With a decent half-board inclusive package, we made full use of the Tignes/Val D'Isere ski area. This area is varied with all sorts of runs, including plenty of long fast, fun blues and reds. As a returning skier after 25 years, it's a great ski area to remember those old ski skills once again.

The resort is accessible from a range of airport including Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva which makes travel options more flexible and affordable. Once transferred to resort there is over 300km of piste to explore, with options to explore other areas such as Val dIsere connected by piste for intermediate/advanced skiers/snowboarders. Well pisted, the slope maintenance is good, and ski conditions are great, although wind can sometimes result in disruption/closure to lifts at the very top of the mountain. Accommodation options are varied, and there is something for everyone. The roads can be a little windy/icy but most accommodation is a short distance from the slopes. There are a range of food and drink options, and small supermarkets if self-catered is preferred.

Half board is better than self catered because supermarkets are expensive

Great ski resort with a nice mix of off piste and piste options. Very large ski area with a nice amount of variation.

Fantastic resort for all but Id say especially for young people (I.e. 20-30 range). Access to Val-dIsere is included with the lift pass, but if this is the Tignes selling point for you then be careful to go at a point in the season when the runs between Tignes and Val-dIsere are open. Great off-piste as well, get a guide for a day to explore this more.
