Best Runs in Tignes

Tignes has some cracking runs spread across its high-altitude terrain, so here's what you'll want to session when you're up there.

  • Piste H (Green): A wide, flat boulevard that runs through Tignes Le Lac, ideal for total beginners getting their ski legs.

  • Bollin (Green): A mellow, confidence-building run from Tovière back down to Val Claret that's perfect for early intermediates progressing from the nursery slopes.

  • Tufs (Blue): A long, cruisey blue that winds down from Tovière to Tignes Le Lac with consistent pitch and plenty of width for practising your turns.

  • Leisse (Blue): A scenic, tree-lined blue run dropping into Tignes Les Boisses, offering some of the best sheltered skiing when the weather turns.

  • Grattalu (Blue): A pleasantly flowing blue from the top of the Grattalu chairlift with beautiful views across the valley and enough space to really open up your carves.

  • Trolles (Red): A proper thigh-burner that drops steeply from Aiguille Percée, with sustained gradient and excellent snow retention thanks to its north-facing aspect.

  • Sache (Red): A challenging red pitch linking Val Claret to Tignes Le Lac, known for building up moguls quickly and testing your technique.

  • Naturaliste (Black): A genuinely steep, ungroomed black that's narrow in sections and demands commitment, located off the Palafour lift.

  • Vallon de la Sache (Black): An off-piste-style black run through a natural gully with variable terrain and tight turns that'll keep advanced skiers properly engaged.

  • Lognan (Black): A demanding black dropping from Tovière with steep sections, moguls, and a technical top pitch that gets locals nodding in respect.
