What Skiers Say About Saint Gervais Mont-Blanc

Saint Gervais attracts a wide range of skiers from beginners to experts, with most reviews coming from intermediate and advanced skiers from the UK. The resort is consistently praised for quiet slopes, well-maintained pistes, good value for money, and excellent lift connections to Megève and other areas via the Mont Blanc Evasion pass. The town itself is described as a genuine year-round community with good restaurant options, though booking ahead is necessary. Common criticisms centre on low altitude affecting snow reliability, limited après-ski and nightlife compared to larger resorts, and the need to take multiple gondolas to reach the slopes from the town.

Lovely resort with lots of runs! Had great weather when we went and had ski lessons which was well organised and the instructors were great! I went with my family and had a great time there. Lots of places to eat out and picnic places you can bring your own lunch. Would highly recommend.

This resort is truly amazing. The runs are well maintained and lift efficiency is excellent. Compared to many other resorts it is very well valued for money. A friendly environment is really good for families. Ive had a house in the town for many years now and I have loved every season!

A beautiful working town with glorious views of the Mont Blanc. Wonderful restaurants, cafes and shops.
A new cable car from the valley will open up some seriously cheap accommodation options and improve access to the beautiful thermal baths.
In twelve years I have only once been able to ski back to the town itself but provided you dont mind a bit of a queue at the main cable car in the morning the lift system is efficient ( although old) and opens up a wonderful selection of tree-lined pistes linking Megeve. Stunning views from the mountain and beautiful mountain restaurants. Beware the altitude !

Good all round resort, proper village, lots to do when not skiing. Slopes extensive in good snow with lots of terrain but slopes are low and snow can be poor.

This isa hidden gem of a resort with far more skiing than you might expect. If you want seriously steep look elsewhere, but if you want great terrain with fantastic views from well manged pistes its a winner. This is genuinely a friendly resort and if you love easily accessible off piste which isnt skied out by 10am, take a closer look. Plus, there a terrific amount of ski touring available. there is a greats selection of restaurants and a few good bars, but if you want a party town, this isnt it. Great for families and friends.

I have been going to St Gervais for almost 20 years since I first learnt to Ski.
The town and surrounding area are magnificent with excellent views of Mont Blanc and a wide variety of run types.
The ski are is fairly large with a good variety catering to all needs. Having skied the area as a child to now, I've never been at a loss for good runs.
The ski instructors in the area are great, especially for one‐on-one.
Apres is slightly limited but there is a folie douce which is great fun.
Food within the town is solid, especially the local pizzerias and the farmers market.

The third largest resort in france and yet its the alps hidden gem. Other than peak times it is quiet all year around which leads to an incredible amount of skiing possible in a day all the way from saint nicolas to cote 2000
