What Skiers Say About Saint Gervais Mont-Blanc

Saint Gervais attracts a wide range of skiers from beginners to experts, with most reviews coming from intermediate and advanced skiers from the UK. The resort is consistently praised for quiet slopes, well-maintained pistes, good value for money, and excellent lift connections to Megève and other areas via the Mont Blanc Evasion pass. The town itself is described as a genuine year-round community with good restaurant options, though booking ahead is necessary. Common criticisms centre on low altitude affecting snow reliability, limited après-ski and nightlife compared to larger resorts, and the need to take multiple gondolas to reach the slopes from the town.

Overall, great groomed runs. It can get crowded during high season but otherwise, it's still a good experience. Ski/snowboard school is good, really depends on the instructor you get (mine was excellent, others, not so great). Apres ski was good also.

We have been visiting St Gervais for year. This year has been the best for snow meaning lots of off piste and powder options. The new revamped gondola to Le Bettex is great, makes it much easier to get from La Fayette to the base. The town is amazing for a good beer and nice fondue but also there is La Folie deuce up the hill as well. An all round good resort with a lot of options and ski pass that includes other mountain ranges. Only 1 hour from Geneva so easy to get to as well!

We love Saint Gervais, have been skiing here since 2010 and the town and ski area has improved hugely over this time. The new telecabine is fantastic - no queues at all in the mornings even on new year week. Restaurants in town and on the mountain are great, loads of choice. Book ahead for busy weeks! It’s a real town with a lovely community and a great place to stay all year round.

Had a great dump of snow, even though first few days were low visibility, there was a decent amount still open and accessible. Powder was great! Blue sky days for the last few of our trip, so pistey beasties could do there thing and the groomed slopes have been fantastic! Not too crowded, not had to wait too long for lifts. Enough options of different graded slopes too.

I think this resort is perfect for beginners looking to gain skills I’m varied slopes. For a higher level skier the ski area in Saint Gervais is small. However the connections with megeve were great and opened up the piste options. There were also some great restaurants and bars this way, although perhaps a bit more expensive.

Love saint gervais!! Great value for money. First ski trip to France and already booked again for 2026. Great start to the season. Stayed 7 nights for around £640 and the transfer from geneva was beautiful!! We stayed in chalet les grets and found that it was pretty easy to get to the lifts from where we were HOWEVER i think it'd be better with a car. For January, there was a really good amount of snow and it wasn't too busy. Small queue for the lifts. Didn't take any lessons but they were around 100 euro per hour. Some of the lifts were a little outdated but overall great resort!!

Lift system to get up to the slopes is very efficient following the upgrade. St Gervais is a pretty town with lots of restaurant and bar options but book ahead as they’re popular. Pistes are great for beginners and intermediate’s, well connected, connection to Megeve is also great and they have some fabulous tree lined runs over there, you can easily get over there, ski most of it and get back in the course of a day. Some nice slope side restaurants but quite expensive.

Great place. Go there regularly snd always enjoy it. A little less known than the more "boutique" resorts which is excellent! Would recommend.

Spent a long weekend in St Gervais with friends. Most of the accommodation is in town with the very efficient and recently refurbished cable car taking people to Bettex. You have a range of options from here to take you across the mountain. Theres the option to head over to Megève, with some great runs there too.

Accommodation choice in town is great and good value. Some great options for eating with some really high quality cuisine. You may need to book in advance on the evenings though. Its not dance on the tables busy, but you can find some lively spots if you look around. Nordique bar and 3 Musquetons were good fun.

Within 1.5 hours from Geneva, St Gervais is a great option for shorter breaks or families wanting good value.

Great ski resort with a variety of runs and terrain for everyone. Low altitude ski resort, not really ski in and out. Very friendly vibe on the slope and village. Not a party town but great if you like nice restaurants and a few beers in the local bars. Stunning views up the mountain.

Saint gervais is a hidden gem. A pretty functioning town rather than a resort. Enough ski terrain to keep most people entertained. Lifts are never that busy. Take a short bus ride up the valley to Les Contamines. You won't be disappointed
