Just got back from Saint-Gervais and it’s actually such a good option if you don’t want to spend a fortune. Probably one of the cheaper ski trips I’ve done, but still really decent skiing. Slopes were way quieter than I expected too, which was a nice surprise.

That being said, it’s definitely more on the chilled side. If you’re going for more of a fun, party atmosphere you’d probably be better off in one of the bigger resorts. There was a Folie Douce that was easy access but a little far if you’re skiing back to Saint Gervais town which I wouldn’t recommend.

It was also hard to just walk into places for food in the town without a booking. We got caught out a couple of times, so I’d recommend booking ahead if you can.

Overall though, it’s a really nice spot, especially for families or if you just want something a bit more relaxed.

Loved the resort. Very big resort and quiet slopes when we went. Lots of options for accomodation which werent over priced and we stayed in a lower area but gondolas up to the slopes were efficient and well linked

Average resort, too many runs aren’t groomed or maintained properly. The town of Saint Gervais doesn’t have enough restaurants to support the tourist population, struggle to find a table anywhere.

We had amazing snow conditions and the overall ski area is very large and we skied every day from first lift to last and never got bored, there are some lovely long runs and it wasn't busy when we were there, we went over to megeve and skier all the way to gettiaz where the lifts were slow but the ski runs were very good, bit of a flat blue to get there which didn't appeal so much to my snowboarding daughter. The ski bus is the village is very efficient and the choice of accommodation is good. The town is a proper year round town and there is a new lift down to the spa at la Fayette which is fabulous. It is easily accessed from Geneva either by train or shared transfer.

Stayed in Saint Gervais Le Fayet (quiet, few bars, some restaurants) and took Le Valleen up the hill to Les Bains each day = 5 mins and excellent. Hire from Skiloc, Bettex = best skis I have ever hired - waxed and good edges. Slopes excellent; many were half to a full notch higher in difficulty, conversely some were easier than colour coding. Skied all of the Saint Gervais, Megeve and Cote 2000 - the latter our favourite. Awesome place, awesome views of Mont Blanc..Tip: do your research and book restaurants in the evening!

Near other resorts if you want to do multiple places. low altitude so conditions are dependent on recent snowfall. Family friendly resort, not for younger people looking for full apres

A fantastic resort with a sizeable ski area, which is only 1hr 15mins from Geneva airport. The Mont Blanc Evasion ski pass also covers additional areas which can be accessed by local bus. The Clotes 2000 ski area was well worth the visit. There are plenty of on piste restaurants offering quick snacks to traditional plates. The lift systems are very good except the single button coming back from Clotes 2000, however there appears to be plans to install a chair lift there in the near future. Apres ski is a little on the quiet side, but the Super Yo-yo bar has some great beers on offer and a dart board to throw some arrows. The Taj Mahal Indian restaurant is well worth a visit, and has plenty of options for the avid curry fan.
All in all my son and I had a brilliant time in Saint Gervais even though we were only there for 3 nights and would highly recommend it to anyone even if they can only manage a long weekend, however if you have more time there are plenty of other activities available like the thermal spa and ice skating all pretty central to the town.

Managed to escape for a long weekend with a friend, we had a few private lessons via BASS, and the instructor was amazing, made sense and provided the confidence I lack as a middle aged women learning the ski.
The greens are at the top of the resort so you are not stuck at the bottom, and you can take them all the way down to Megeve, then back on some lovely blues,
The resort is also possible to reach by train if you do not want to hire a car, and it is has a top rated thermal spa - which is well worth a visit.

Overall, great groomed runs. It can get crowded during high season but otherwise, it's still a good experience. Ski/snowboard school is good, really depends on the instructor you get (mine was excellent, others, not so great). Apres ski was good also.

We have been visiting St Gervais for year. This year has been the best for snow meaning lots of off piste and powder options. The new revamped gondola to Le Bettex is great, makes it much easier to get from La Fayette to the base. The town is amazing for a good beer and nice fondue but also there is La Folie deuce up the hill as well. An all round good resort with a lot of options and ski pass that includes other mountain ranges. Only 1 hour from Geneva so easy to get to as well!

We love Saint Gervais, have been skiing here since 2010 and the town and ski area has improved hugely over this time. The new telecabine is fantastic - no queues at all in the mornings even on new year week. Restaurants in town and on the mountain are great, loads of choice. Book ahead for busy weeks! It’s a real town with a lovely community and a great place to stay all year round.

Had a great dump of snow, even though first few days were low visibility, there was a decent amount still open and accessible. Powder was great! Blue sky days for the last few of our trip, so pistey beasties could do there thing and the groomed slopes have been fantastic! Not too crowded, not had to wait too long for lifts. Enough options of different graded slopes too.
