Spent a long weekend in St Gervais with friends. Most of the accommodation is in town with the very efficient and recently refurbished cable car taking people to Bettex. You have a range of options from here to take you across the mountain. Theres the option to head over to Megève, with some great runs there too.
Accommodation choice in town is great and good value. Some great options for eating with some really high quality cuisine. You may need to book in advance on the evenings though. Its not dance on the tables busy, but you can find some lively spots if you look around. Nordique bar and 3 Musquetons were good fun.
Within 1.5 hours from Geneva, St Gervais is a great option for shorter breaks or families wanting good value.

Great ski resort with a variety of runs and terrain for everyone. Low altitude ski resort, not really ski in and out. Very friendly vibe on the slope and village. Not a party town but great if you like nice restaurants and a few beers in the local bars. Stunning views up the mountain.

Saint gervais is a hidden gem. A pretty functioning town rather than a resort. Enough ski terrain to keep most people entertained. Lifts are never that busy. Take a short bus ride up the valley to Les Contamines. You won't be disappointed

I ski, my wife does not. We have been going to Saint Gervais now for 8 years. The pistes are generally well prepared, outside school holidays the queues for lifts are short and the pistes not crowded. For non-skiers there is access to some areas in bubble lifts and walking trails. There is also the Mont Blanc runway. StG is generally chilled with nice atmosphere. It isnt a party resort.

Very quiet town, but cheap considering the access to a good ski area. Car is recommended as it will be needed to access the non connected parts of the area. Not good later in the season due to low altitude.

Lots of well connected runs, snow wasnt great for the first week of Jan but still plenty of well piste-ed slopes at the top
Expensive lunch options but to be expected
Great for a mixed ability group, plenty of greens and nice easy blues but also plenty of reds and blacks

If youre looking for a relaxing and family freidly ski resort then saint getvais is the place for you. Boasting a wide range of restaurants on the mountain and in the village you wont be shy of some decent meals. The Folie Douce provides the only Apres Ski entertainment but this is only accessible on the mountain. There arent any places in the village to apres. Saint gervais is more aimed at beginners on the slopes and those that arent huge on the apres scene in the village. Making it perfect for families and couples not necessarily wanting to party. Overall the ski range is very good. The lift pass covers a huge distance and the free shuttle bus service is really good and very reliable. Saint gervais is a charming ski resort and village. If you get the evasion pass you can ski to multiple parts such as Megeve, saint nicolas and much more. As me and my girlfriend are both snowboarders the runs arent best designed for this as they are multiple flats and winding roads. The home run is a massive track down to the gondola.m and is very flat in parts. The other issue is that you have to get 2 gondolas to start your ski day. This can be very frustrating and time consuming. Theres plenty to do once you get up to the top but it does take a bit of time out of your day. Overall its a very good place to come skiing. Its worth trying out.

Brilliant for families as there are lots of ski schools with plenty of easier slopes taking you right across the mountain. Less for the experienced skier although the harder runs there are are good fun.
Now always snowsure due to being quite low which means the possibility of skiing back into the main town is often patchy. Lots of good accommodation higher up though which has good access to the main lifts. Also, staying in town and using the main gondola or driving up the mountain make it more affordable as accommodation in town is cheaper. This has the bonus of access to better shops and restaurants etc.

I really enjoyed skiing at Saint Gervais. It was my second time skiing and I felt quite nervous but we started slowly. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and we ate at a little cafe on the way down which was lovely. Overall really great experience, would come back again.

Small village resort with good links to main cable car (which has now has an extensive revamp for 2024/5!). Village itself is charming with good places to eat and stay. Enough good skiing for a few days.. tree lined skiing and more challenging runs. Good for families. Would recommend as a beginner/intermediate resort. Good connection to Geneva airport by train ..but check taxi/bus links to village if you are arriving late!

A gem of a resort, with a few amazing groomed pistes around Montjolie, and easy access by car to nearby ski areas. Great food and easy for families and less experienced skiers to get around. Very good apres considering the size of the area.

Saint gervais is probably my favourite ski resort ever. The scenery is great, theres a variety of pistes and there are loads of restaurants options, in the village and on the mountain. I think what like about this ski resort is that despite it being on the doorstep of Mont Blanc, its fairly unknown and never jam packed with people. Yes, you can get reasonably long lift queues but they are only in the morning for the first lift and they die down after about an hour after the first lift running. Also, seeing as Saint Gervais isnt massive, youre only a maximum of 25 minutes away from another resort - this could be Chamonix, Megève, Les Houches or Les Contamines. All these ski resorts are perfect if you wanted to get away from Saint Gervais for the day. Snow reliability has been slightly worrying in the last few years but I have been lucky to go when the snow has been great and this tends to be over the February Half Term in England. I have been to Saint Gervais at Christmas time and the snow wasnt great but locals and ski instructors told me this was a one off and this isnt usually how it is here in this beautiful ski resort in the north of the French Alps! Hopefully this was helpful for anyone looking to go!

Nice small resort. A lot of grass as the area is low and poor snow in the run up to our trip. I would recommend renting a car if visiting TK allow you to travel higher up to chamonix etc. lovely village with a few nice pubs and lots of charm

This resort is truly amazing. The runs are well maintained and lift efficiency is excellent. Compared to many other resorts it is very well valued for money. A friendly environment is really good for families. Ive had a house in the town for many years now and I have loved every season!

A beautiful working town with glorious views of the Mont Blanc. Wonderful restaurants, cafes and shops.
A new cable car from the valley will open up some seriously cheap accommodation options and improve access to the beautiful thermal baths.
In twelve years I have only once been able to ski back to the town itself but provided you dont mind a bit of a queue at the main cable car in the morning the lift system is efficient ( although old) and opens up a wonderful selection of tree-lined pistes linking Megeve. Stunning views from the mountain and beautiful mountain restaurants. Beware the altitude !
