What Skiers Say About Les Arcs

Les Arcs attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with intermediate skiers being particularly well-served. Reviewers consistently mention the vast ski area, especially when linked with La Plagne via the Paradiski pass, offering extensive terrain that prevents boredom over a week. The lift system is generally praised for efficiency and minimal queuing, though some mention increased crowds in recent years due to new all-inclusive hotels. Après-ski receives positive feedback, particularly venues like Folie Douce and L'Arpette in Arc 1800. Several users note good value compared to other French resorts, convenient access via funicular from Bourg-St-Maurice, and reliable snow conditions due to altitude. Common criticisms include limited nightlife and restaurant options in some villages (particularly Arc 2000), crowded narrow sections on certain runs, and an abundance of flat connecting tracks that frustrate snowboarders.

Had the pleasure to ski this resort a few times and even luckier to met my partner whos from Bourg-st-Maurice, a little village below Les Arc (promise it hasnt affected my review).
The area is a vibrant and friendly ski area. The on-piste area is good with quality ski runs for all levels. The off-pistes are great, although admittedly, In recent years you have to be lucky to get a full week of powder days. The snow parks are cool, Ive met quite a few chilled skiers willing to show me some tricks. Every time Ive been to this resort the parks have been maintained really well.
Its a resort that has been built for everyone on in mind with clubs and great après lower down. Arpette has great après and let my friend behind the decks to have a spin, which was brilliant as the day was closing out. At the higher levels like at 1850m or 2100m you nice spas and shopping areas.
Good all round resort!

Amazing resort. Visited at Easter, and pistes fairly quiet. Snow was amazing. Choice of runs brilliant for us. Had not skied for 35 years ! But it was an amazing resort to get back into it as there is such an amazing choice for all skiers. Ski school were brilliant and ski rescue were super efficient with our daughter who came down by blood wagon on Thursday on the last run of the day ! Medical centre were good.

What an amazing resort of five villages! There's something for everyone there! Love the ski-in, ski-out nature of 1950 in particular, but all are great!

We stayed in arcs 1800. The trans arc lift takes you up to a point where arcs 2000,1950 and 1600 can all be accessed and it is clearly marked which direction you need to go. We found that Arcs 1800 was the most lively area of the resort and the only part that had apres bars that required a short ski back home. There was enough intermediate slopes to where I could advance from green/blue runs into red runs safely and confidently by the end of our one week stay. I would reccomend Les arcs for anyone who is not a huge fan of off piste skiing, as the options to do so were somewhat limited.

Had a wonderful experience in Les Arcs. Skid a lot on the 2000/1950 side as snow was really good but also got over to 1800 & 1600 as well as skiing Peisey Vallandry. Didnt make it over to La Plagne as so much good mountain to explore. .

Spring skiing but temperatures stayed up at 0 degrees above 1800 sp snow didnt melt. some of the high lifts took a few hours to open after big snow dumps as avalanche clearances happened but once open everything ran smoothly and its good they looking after safety. . A little warm below 1600 and snow starting to get slushy from midday onwards.

Some great off piste bowls and fresh snow to attack. Lots of challenging blacks. Natural blacks with no grooming.

Would like to go back again when its colder and peak season. The bowls off the gondola look so much fun.

Was there 31st March/6th April.

Had a great time there. Conditions were fair most of the week. The slopes themselves were great and the moguls were well done, especially on the black run. Off piste skiing was great as well and the snow quality was great thanks to the large dump fo snow. Apres was great as predicted!

Everything the 3 Valleys has, but cheaper, less busy and prettier. Want a ski-in/ski-out family resort? Then chose Les Arcs 1950. Want a younger vibe with bars and clubs? Choose Les Arcs 1800. Want value? Plan Peissey or Les Arcs 1600. The tree-line runs above Vallandry are some of the best youll ever ski - dynamic wide reds and blues, dotted with top restaurants to stop for coffee, beer or local dishes. For the super-skiers the snow park is great. Off-piste there are miles and miles of untrodden slopes. And cross country paths and routes through stunning scenery. And with the full ski pass, you get access to all that La Plagne has to offer, which is as big a ski area as Les Arcs! You will rarely do the same run twice and the lift system is very slick and efficient. We tend to go late March early April for the spring skiing, and the snow is always good and the apres at Folie Deuce and our favourite LArpette is even better. Love this place and cant wait to go back. Vive Les Arcs! Merci beaucoup!

Les Arcs is a very snow sure resort with fresh snow fall when I went in early April ( powder days). With a wide variety of runs and places to explore you won't find yourself getting bored at Les Arcs - even then it's a sort trip to la plange and even more slopes. Get for families and groups with varying abilities just quite as lively as hoped on the aprés ski action side of things, otherwise fantastic resort!

We stayed at Les Arc 1600 at beginning of April and the snow was just about holding up down to 1600 so that you could ski in and out.

Regular fresh snow kept it open all week and the snow at higher resorts and ski areas was still great.

Good pisted runs and large linked ski area with La Plagne means youll have plenty of options and plenty of off piste to go at if thats your thing.

Second time visitinG the Paradiski are and Would definitely go again.

2nd time to Les Arcs having stayed in 2000 last year. Stayed in 1800 this year and better location to ski all over the area and over to la plagne. Resort with great slopes for all levels. Got lucky with able to plenty of Pow Pow days off piste. 2nd time there and would go back as still plenty more slopes to do across the full area.

Les Arcs is my favourite resort in the French alps, providing a peaceful yet après mad environment. Folie douce les arcs is a magnificent establishment which plays up to date music and gives an amazing atmosphere.

Furthermore, the tree runs in Les arcs are amazing and second to none.
