Fabulous skiing at Les Arcs - and with the combined lift pass, La Plagne as well. I love it !

There is such a good range of runs, lifts, terrain to keep everyone happy. Possibly a bit short of mountain restaurants, but OK.

Les Arcs has it all. Easy to get to from Bourg St Mourice. A real playground for the alpine adventurer.

Les Arvs has been my resort since a child and have been going most years, fantastic runs with a wide variety of difficulty lots of snow and great restaurants up and down the mountain

I stayed at UCPA, Les Arcs and honestly it was one of the best experiences Ive ever had. (Check out my other review on Tignes and Val DIsere)

I picked up snowboarding on that very trip and I could do blue-red slopes with some tree runs. The instructors were a really good and the slopes are ideal for beginners to advance quickly, regardless of skill level. This is owed to the vast spaces on the slopes and the quality of the snow there.

Great access to the pistes from Les arcs 1900. The village is fully ski in ski out. Over in 1800 there is great apres, however it can be quite difficult to get back from.

Been here a few times over the years and every time I go it does not disappoint, good food options all over the mountain, I haven't had the chance to do much off piest exploring yet but hopefully next time. I don't know if I have been lucky every time I've gone or they do it season round but there are always loads of little event type things going on like skiing over water and features which really gives a fun festival atmosphere when there. The only issue I've ever has was in the ski area some of the lifts get very overwhelmed with the volume of skiers especially those in the town compared to those on the mountain however this is understandable. But all in all a great resort to go skiing in if you are an intermediate to advanced skier

Les Arc is a big resort. This might worry some people but an abundance of piestes means there is more than enough space for everyone. The resort is split into two halves with les arc 1600 & 1800 on the valley side and 1950 & 2000 on the flip side sitting inside a natural bowl. The best skiing can be found in the bowl if you are intermediate+. On peak times (holidays etc) the resort gets busy so get up high and out of the resorts valley side for less crowds.

Les Arc is a great resort with the perfect mix of runs from beginner to expert. You can also access La Plagne which has the same.

The apres is great fun!

First ski holiday I had been on in Europe and it was brilliant. We had a group of 10 of us there, so we had quite large bookings for restaurants etc. they were all very accommodating and incredibly hospitable. The accomodation was ideal 2 connecting flats that were ski into, this was class for chilling after a long day on the slopes or just enjoying a beer in the evening in the balcony.
The slopes were well tended given the time of year and the temperature too. It was great to get up into the mountains as the ski lifts were well connected to the other resorts locally to Les arcs 1800. This meant a massive variety of skiing that we could go somewhere new everyday and have an entirely different day to the previous one.
The facilities in and around there were also great good shops for groceries and then ski shops and gifts too to get some quality clobber.
The apres ski was great fun everyone was always up for it and the vibes were immaculate. And the drink was reasonably well priced.

Les Arcs holds a special place in my heart. I took a year out and spent a ski season there in 2012-13 and havereturned many times since. The resort is impeccably well-maintained, with its infrastructure constantly being upgraded. The connection to La Plagne (Paradiski area) via the famous Vanoise Expresss gives even more variety and terrain to explore.

Snow reliability is a major highlight, complemented by a vast and varied ski area. Each base location within Les Arcs has its own unique vibe, from the lively atmosphere of Arc 1800 to the more relaxed charm of Arc 1600. Across the valley, La Plagne offers a more traditional feel, but again the different villages each have their own quirks.

In recent years, La Folie Douce has moved in, offering serious apres and high-end dining. This is just one of many opportunitys for serious diners, or drinkers.

Beyond the main ski hubs, youll discover traditional mountain villages, offering a more authentic Savoyard experience.

I left a part of me on that ski season in 2012-13, and I always look forward to returning whenever I can

The place is huge if you get the extension pass but you need to do some research as to where you stay depending on what you want. Some places are family oriented and some are more party oriented. You can do it on a budget or go all out as well.

Would highly recommend given the range.

Les arcs is a giant resort full of everything you would need. It is perfect for intermediate skiers with plenty of blues and reds, however its off piste is quite lacking with not much powder. The food and drink are plentiful and great quality but the night life isnt too live apart from the one folie douce. Overall great resort, especially for familys and large groups.

Great ski area, facilitated by good lifts. During peak times some of the lifts have lengthy wait times. With the introduction of Folie, the apres is decent but could be improved by introducing a few more bars that stay open later, like a coco's or rond point.

I stayed in club med, so most of the time was spent at the hotel.
It was really good value for money and the slopes were great
Off piste with an instructor was the best as they knew the routes to take. Overall the stay was amazing and I would recommend to anyone.

The skiing was great with the family, we have a mixed ability of beginners to some of us who have been skiing since 3 years old. Plenty of mellow groomers for the beginners and plenty of off piste and fun blacks and reds for the advanced.
Off piste is great the higher up if the snow is right.
We stopped in Arc 2000 which is great for the family due to it being ski in ski out and family friendly.
If your there to party as well I would suggest 1800 due to there being more to do and there also being easier connections from bourgeois-saint-mourice.
Top tip - if wanting to apres at le folie douce, and you are stopping in Arc 2000 set an alarm for the last gondola back over otherwise youll have to get the bus or a taxi back round from 1800 to 2000.

Great riding if you know where youre going. Aguil rouge has some challenging faces.

Good bars. Good people.

Hiking or touring is necessary to access powder zones.

Brilliant ski resort with a bit of everything. The range of runs is fantastic and takes you from 3,200m down to 1,400m- through beautifully groomed slopes, moguls or tree runs. The resort is split on different altitude levels with easy access to all, excellent accommodation availability and opportunities, from small groups to large. The Apres life is great fun with plenty to do or see! Food around the resort is excellent at any altitude and amazes you with what you can get. Locals are excellent, ski instructors extremely helpful and easy access to stunning sister resort La Plagne

Great place up high so good snow, large area to ski and the option to go over to La plane for more. Also great off-pies options.

First Time in , Les Arcs
Stayed in the beautiful alpine style village of Arc 1950. Apartment in Manior Savoir.

Really lovely village with great access to the slopes, great choice of eateries, lovely atmosphere, fantastic bakery and hand grocery and ski shops etc.

Lovely blue and red runs with in easy reach , well groomed, lovely and wide, with plenty of places to grab a bite and the long chair lifts of Pre st Esprit and Arcabula both have bubble covers and take from the bottom of a very long blue or red , right back to the top.

The Apre Ski and events in the village , organised by the retailers and the resort were really unexpected and we have a great time, dacing and singing in the snow covered streets between the gorgeous buildings...

The Pre St Esprit chair lift is super picturesque, with long valley views , crossing over the valley de arc blue run, past waterfalls, babbling streams, through the pine tree and takes you over the village of Arc 1950... Then out over the wide snow covered plateau , before delivering to the station... Be sure to pose for your free digital picture just as you arrive at the top
... Truly gorgeous all the way !!

Genuinely can't wait to go back...

Oh and the apartments with access to the pool with the Mount Blanc views and it's facilities,..... Worth every extra penny!!

Les Arcs 1800 is one of the most beautiful and fantastic all round resorts in France. From awe inspiring off piste, to fun and accessible greens into the resort, there are slopes to suite any skier or boarder, during any light or weather conditions. Spectacular self facing slopes lead down to fantastic modern and established après bars. Accommodation is mostly apartments, But chalet options can be found in the villages surrounding Les Arcs. To save real money, you can even stay in the town at the bottom of the mount, And simply use the funicular (complementary of your ski pass) to access the piste. The beautiful south facing slopes provide some of the most spectacular sunsets and late afternoon Skiing, And theres even a flood at night run if you fancy skiing after 9 pm. The closest airport is still a couple of hours drive, But overall, 1800 really takes some beating.
