Courchevel Review Summary

Courchevel attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting its connection to the Three Valleys as a major draw. Intermediate skiers dominate the reviews and consistently praise the well-groomed pistes, wide runs, and efficient lift system. Off-piste and tree runs are noted by advanced riders, while beginners appreciate the nursery slopes and ease of progression. The resort's high cost is the most frequently mentioned drawback, with reviewers citing expensive lift passes, food, drink, and accommodation. Après-ski options are well-regarded, though prices vary significantly between locations. Some reviewers mention crowding, particularly with inexperienced skiers, and a few note issues with lower-altitude snow cover later in the season.

Been skiing at Courchevel since I was a kid and its been a great place to learn as a beginner but also amazing for improving my skills on more intermediate slopes and options for even harder stuff. Good range of skills and slopes

Courchevel has a good lift system and a great network of slopes for all abilities. The apres in courchevel and the connecting meribel and Val thorens are amazing. Only downfall is the price tag.

Amazing resort - stay in La Tania to shave off the high prices of the more expensive Courcheval at 1850 or 1650. Great and reasonable chalet company Freeride Republic for an array of catered chalet options.

Great array of beginner slopes for children, family friendly and lots of free entertainment on at Christmas.

SlideCandy offer amazing ski hire deals and will bring the skis to you. 24/7 helpnumber and will come to you if there is an issue or need to replace skis/boots even on Christmas Day

New Generation good ski school and slightly cheaper than the ESF. Flexible on drop off points so will ski the kids to you if you at the end of the lesson (within reason)

Very fun and so much to ski you will never do all of it.

But it is extremely expensive but the 3 valley ski pass makes it worthwhile regardless.

Courchavel is knows as being one of the pricier resorts but actually isnt too expensive if you look around, there are a couple of season sites bars and reasonable places to eat. It has great snow the whole season and is relatively easy to reach.

Good beginner slopes and awesome advanced skiing over in val thrones if you want extend your pass for the day

The lines to the lift are extremely unorganized and long, with very very busy runs. Powder days make the runs so bumpy and there are 0 groomed runs. Views are gorgeous but everything is so inefficient compared to US ski resorts

Came here every year from being 4 until 10 years old when my parents were together. I used to kick up a fuss about being dumped in ski school while all the adults went off skiing without the kids, but looking back this paved the way for finding a hobby which I absolutely love - despite the cost lol. Havent stayed here since but have managed to ski over from Méribel for a trip down memory lane which always hits. The resort has amazing groomed runs and offers a lot of fun for friends or family groups.

Its definitely not the cheapest resort in France but its my favourite. Amazing variety of pistes to keep everyone busy from beginner to advanced. Links between La Tania, 1550, 1650 and 1850 are great giving you a huge skiable domain.

Nice resort quite posey. But the skiing is great. Lovely long runs with being so high up and great to be able to go to meribel and val Thorens. Food options were really good and apres. We went in January so it was super cold id prob look at Feb for next time because of this I was warned January was cold there but its more snow sure with being so high.

Great resort for skiing, excellent food if a little expensive overall. Good ski lifts and never felt overly busy and great connections to meribel and VT.

La Tania is a real gem in the Courchevel region. Great Apres in the ski lodge and close connection via ski runs to Courchevel 1850 and Meribel.

You can't get better than the three valleys and Courchevel is by far the best. The best snow and best runs surrounded by opulence and extravagance.

Nice report but can be expensive. Lots of runs but not loads of black runs but very nice long blues. Lots of lovely tree runs. Good places to eat and a couple of fun bars in 1650.

Enjoyed spring skiing in Courchevel and was lucky to have had a few sunny days. Literally picture perfect.
Loved the look of the resort and the atmosphere. Good value for money if you have enough money - but definitely one of my favourite resorts in the French Alps.

It has a different feel and vibe to the other parts of the 3 valleys
The runs are mostly wide and flow well it is definitely at the top of my list to take someone to learn to ski as less intimidating than a lot to the other places I have skied before but still with challenging runs for as and when you want them
