Courchevel Review Summary

Courchevel attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting its connection to the Three Valleys as a major draw. Intermediate skiers dominate the reviews and consistently praise the well-groomed pistes, wide runs, and efficient lift system. Off-piste and tree runs are noted by advanced riders, while beginners appreciate the nursery slopes and ease of progression. The resort's high cost is the most frequently mentioned drawback, with reviewers citing expensive lift passes, food, drink, and accommodation. Après-ski options are well-regarded, though prices vary significantly between locations. Some reviewers mention crowding, particularly with inexperienced skiers, and a few note issues with lower-altitude snow cover later in the season.

Really enjoyed my time in Courchevel, perfect place to be over Christmas and new years! Great food, groomed pistes and very fun apres (la folie douce, cap horn, bagatelle etc). Slightly lower down so can be slushy in the warmer months, definitely recommend getting the 3 valleys lift pass and skiing over to Val Thorens/ Meribel.

Great mix of blue and red runs, with some challenging black runs if you look for them! Some of the blue runs have stunning views, with trees lining either side. Very expensive towns and restaurants however, with a large amount of high end designer shops dominating the towns.

Lots of runs with good variety, and no major bottlenecks. It links up to Meribel and beyond brilliantly, making it the best resort I've skied at.

Beautiful resort at Courchevel Moriond with views over 1850 & powder snow slopes. Stunning scenery to accompany cascading runs. Generous ski classes offering patience & empathy for us newbies while the demographic covers a wide range from all levels, early learners through veteren skiers.

Courchevel is the resort that has everything from designer shopping to apres ski, its pricey but beautiful, good range of ski runs but does get busy in peak season, good ski schools and nurseries for children so very family friendly too, great all rounder.

We loved Courchevel - we visited in April so the resort was a lot quieter and there was less snow but still plenty and we were able to ski down into Meribel (though it is icier over that way due to the lack of fresh snow). The runs are well looked after daily and we hardly had to queue for the lifts, all of which were easy to access and speedy. There was an end of season festival when we were there which was super fun even though the snow in the festival area was quite melted and the firework show was great. Would definitely recommend courchevel for beginners as there are some good easy green slopes as well as a good range of blue slopes which helps you as you progress. There are also some reasonable red slopes that we tried at the end of our trip so it really is a place for all.
