Courchevel Review Summary

Courchevel attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting its connection to the Three Valleys as a major draw. Intermediate skiers dominate the reviews and consistently praise the well-groomed pistes, wide runs, and efficient lift system. Off-piste and tree runs are noted by advanced riders, while beginners appreciate the nursery slopes and ease of progression. The resort's high cost is the most frequently mentioned drawback, with reviewers citing expensive lift passes, food, drink, and accommodation. Après-ski options are well-regarded, though prices vary significantly between locations. Some reviewers mention crowding, particularly with inexperienced skiers, and a few note issues with lower-altitude snow cover later in the season.

This has been a fantastic experience.

I went there as an au pair (alongside 3 lovely kids) so had a lot of time to myself when the kids were skiing with the instructors! I loved skiing down the black runs, but the blue ones were equally enjoyable and scenic!! Courchevel is the perfect blend of social skiing and adventure, with amazing infrastructure and great views.

Family trip of three generations, several of them new to skiing. One decided that he was too old to ski! All had a great time on the slopes, lessons for the non-skiers followed by practice on the massive beginner area. The rest of us went higher up to the red and black runs for some great skiing.
Plenty of choices for restaurants and bars afterwards and the hotel was reasonably priced with a good Breakfast and Dinner if wanted.

We were in Courchevel almost two years ago, skiing on Les Tres Valles. It was remarkable—beautiful views, amazing people, and really nice slopes. I would absolutely go again. We try to combine travel and adventure with skiing, always searching for new places to go, and the French Alps have definitely been one of my favourites so far, especially here in Courchevel.

Gorgeous spot. Full range of slopes. Even if you only love black diamond, the blues here will be just as fun.
Access to the 3Vallees means you beaver get board of the same runs.
We went early season and snow coverage was decent with only a few closed runs.

A great resort which is very my different from the gluttony of 1850. We stayed at Le Portetta for the third time, which was amazing. The skiing was outstanding with huge snowfalls and peerless slopes, what more could one want ?

Probably my favourite resort in terms of the overall combination of quality pistes, lifts, and off-piste facilities (eating/drinking/accomodation/apres), plus the added bonus of Meribel and Val Thorens nearby

Have been several times, always a great way to escape the day to day. If you go in December just before Christmas snow is good & slopes are quiet. Can be pricey but food & drink options are great!

Quality hotels and luxury skiing in 1850, slightly more affordable options in 1650 with easy access to the three valleys ski area

Went to Courchevel earlier this year with my brother and dad. It was one of the best trips I’ve been on. We stayed in a shared chalet with three or four other families. Food was fantastic, the accommodation was really accessible from the slopes.

Apres-ski and drinks were easy to find, although on the more pricey side.

Skiing itself was fantastic. A huge variation of runs, easy to build up throughout our time from greens, blues to reds. Scenery was beautiful too

Endless fun, you can do different areas all week as Courchevel is so big itself but then having access to Meribel and Val Thorens too is amazing. Wish I could afford to spend weeks here! It’s obviously not cheap but staying lower down the mountain helps- Le Praz has easy access to the slopes without paying premium prices in the hub and is a lovely town to stay in

Been going here for years, it is expensive, but it is genuinely the best out there for a reason. There are ways to find cheaper accom and the lifts are always so reliable but a major perk is the fact that it is in the three valleys and it has such a major range of runs and the apres is unmatched.

Couchevel was great for our group. We had a mixed group of abilities but the slopes catered for everyone.
The food and drink options of the mountain were great. The lifts were all modern. And there’s loads of places to go in the village too when you’re not skiing

Amazing ski range to suit all abilities skied here with group of friends & family , although expensive the 3 valley mountain range is by far the best. I’ve skied 3 resorts in Canada and all over Europe.
