A beautiful resort perfect for beginners! You can explore the majority of the resort via blue runs, which was ideal for our mixed ability group. It was so easy to get from one bowl to the other, so there was never any stress about missing the last lift. Our accomodation was incredible basically on the piste, and facilities were built for enjoying the views with outdoor spa & pool!

It was quite a journey to our apartment from the entrance. We took a snow cat to take us, which kept us waiting for half an hour. The apartment itself was great! However, on the second day the lift broke meaning we had to walk 26 flights of steps down to the town. This was exhausting and put us off going out and affected our energy levels skiing. It was only fixed the day before we left! There were plenty of bars; only a few good restaurants and the shops repeat themselves like a market (selling the same stuff). After a few days, there isn’t anything new to do. Couldn’t get in the spa as it was always fully booked - annoying. Snow was turning to ice due to no new snow and that wasn’t nice to ski on. Felt March was a bit late but then we were there for Snowboxx (which I wouldn’t do again).

Amazing resort! We return every year! No where else compares! Fantastic place, runs for all abilities.

Avoriaz is one of the best resorts I’ve been to over the last 10 years of skiing and is an all rounder.
We had amazing weather that week with sunny days and fresh powder. There was 1 foggy day where we decided to go to the swimming pool which was a lot of fun and nice break mid point of the trip. The highlights for the resort was the ski in- ski out straight from our hotel and the Apres is so so good too! It’s lively and buzzing area that felt so christmassy with all the lights and decoration they have up. The only cons were on some of the blue slopes really close to the resort would get really busy and over crowd but the ski lift never took a crazy amount of time to que so it was worth it in my opinion. I’m definitely going back here!

Great resort for families, with no cars and all accommodation ski in/ski out. Restaurants do get very busy in an evening with queues out of the door. Snowboxx a great option to attend every March too.

Absolute massive areas to ski . Could never get through it all . Beautiful picture postcard town complete with horse taxis . Snow depth was awesome , great for skiers and snowboarders with great Apres restaurants and shops . Can't wait to go back !

Avoriaz was amazing ! The hotel was all inclusive, ski hire shop was within the hotel! The people were friendly, very family friendly, great slopes, easy access and beautiful sceneries!

We had an unreal week in avoriaz ! Nothing better than staying in the resort we were bang in the middle. Easy access to the lifts ski hire and restaurants and apres ski ! So easy to ski into Switzerland and do some awesome skiing over there. Would definitely want to go again !

Avoriaz feels like Lapland, the most beautiful sky reasort i ever visited,with horses around makes it feels like you're in a movie, you can eat at the restaurant or use the shop I think was Kaufland , the place is for any pocket

Snow was amazing, resort looked like a winter wonderland as it always does, bars, restaurants and supermarkets are close wherever you stay, best resort I have been to, have visited twice this year already and may go a third time in April as more snow on its way.

Was in Avoriaz over new year and again this past week, 16/03 and it’s been the best. The snow in March was just so good. Lovely quiet runs, really helpful and happy lift crew and overall an amazing week. Cannot wait for next year.

The resort was amazing, absolutely loved that there was also a waterpark and so many amazing places to eat and drink! All time favourite part has got to be the CHEESE!!

Avoriaz was the best and most fun of my skiing trips. Accomodation great, slopes beautiful and not crowded, reccomend.

Been to Avoriaz for Snowboxx 2025 and 2026, Perfect balance of good slopes and great nightlife. Would recommend for skiers of any level.

Really enjoyed the resort, there are no cars used here so either walk/use horse and sledge to get around. Make sure to take some coins (euros or pounds) to use the luggage sledges when you arrive. Would say there’s more skiing for intermediate/advanced skiers/boarders than beginners. Found service in the local restaurants to be quite poor in general. But the staff at the hotel Belambra were great and couldn’t do enough for you.

First time at a ski in/ski out resort and it was fab! We visited to attend Snowboxx festival, so being able to ski all day then head to folie and the festival was great. Obviously attending during festival mean that the slopes and resort in general were busier than usual - we found that throughout the week it got quieter everywhere. Prices pleasantly surprised us as we thought it would be more expensive - it definitely worked out cheaper to drink wine rather than beers (€6 wine at folie vs €10 beer) and quite a few of the beers were a bit flat in various places. We visited a great steakhouse however as a group of 6 we either struggled to get seated in places or had to wait 40+ mins for tables - this is likely because we visited during a festival. We were lucky that there was a large dump of snow on the day we arrived so the slopes were great for the first few days, after a few days of sun and no snow the slopes were pretty icy towards the end of our week there. The horse carts proved very useful after I injured myself 5 days into the trip and couldn’t walk very far - they were really easy to flag down/find and you could pay by card. Overall a stunning location and we would definitely go again!

Had the best time staying here brilliant location for skiing couldn’t recommend more, skii school was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable as a beginner

Amazing ski area for anyone that wants endless amounts of blue / red runs. Gets slightly busier close to resort (as with any place). The no vehicle resort is so nice and really takes you out of normal civilisation and to your own little bubble up in the mountains. Will definitely come back again

Had a wonderful time. I was the ink boarder in our group and the slops were groomed well enough for me to be able to keep up. Loved seeing families all together, skii schools were respectful of other visitors and didn’t take up too much space on the slopes. Really good versify of different runs and the night life was fantastic

We attended a festival and the whole area was bouncing. I would love to come at a time away from the festival.

Skiing over to Swiss side is recommended for confident intermediate skiers for views and quieter slopes.
