My experience at Avoriaz, was amazing went for two weeks and during the first week snowboxx festival was on which I had a ticket too so there was plenty going on. However, the second week was still amazing even without the festival, the follie douce was still packed. The snow was amazing for both weeks as at the top of the mountain and it super easy to ski down to Morzine and over that side, but also the other way to Chatel and Switzerland. The après ski is good not much night life for the evenings, however, plenty of restaurant and bars for the people who want some fun but also want to be up early to hit the slopes. The ability to Ski in and out of the apartment we said in as well was ideal especially for the price for the two weeks, could be on a lift within five minutes. Also a lovely swimming pool with a hot tub in the resort.

Great ski terrain with a huge area. Avoid the uk and French school holidays for quieter slopes. Try to explore the wider Port du Soleis as there are some amazing views and great days out to be had!

Great resort/ski area. We visited straight after new year, not too busy but busy enough. The snow parks hard work going on so the children didn’t get to try them as much as they would of liked, lots of little kickers on the side of the piste, we then had a dump of snow later in the week so some great powder days of off piste snowboarding.
Good food in all the restaurants we visited, not cheap but not overly overpriced either (similar to the uk) The supermarkets had a good choice of food, if you wanted to save some money and cook in your apartments. No cars in resort was great, you didn’t have to worry about vehicles all the time when walking around. horse and sleigh was available to rent if you wanted to explore the resort and not walk. Our accommodations was the Atria Crozats ( just past Folie douce) we could use the escalators to get back up to our apartments in the evening (save the legs) being in a ski in out resort was great. Folie douce was great, not loads of Apres ski but plenty enough for what we wanted.
We need to explore the ski area and resort a lot more the next time we visit. We would definitely recommend this resort.

I think this is one of the best ski resorts I’ve ever been to. I don’t like the busyness but overall it’s a good place for friend groups, families and there are so many runs to choose from. Apres ski is one of the best

I went to Avoriaz in January and March this year and cant wait to go back. Being a car free zone it makes the resort a real winter wonderland, as you walk on snow everywhere, couple that with Christmas trees with lovely lights everywhere you look. If you dont want to walk there are snowcats or horse and sleigh taxi's that will take you to your door. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to suit all budgets and a couple of great supermarkets that provide sleighs so you can tow your shopping home.

Then it just gets better....

The pistes are immaculatly groomed and cared for, so many long runs that connect to different resorts if you want to explore but to be honest, we only left Avoriaz for one day as we were enjoying the resort so much, when we return we will make an effort to try elsewhere but when we went to Chatel we all agreed its a lot better in Avoriaz. Then there are the stunt parks, AMAZING!!!!! We spent time in them every day, there are jumps from beginner to expert level so we all enjoyed them as we are all different levels.

When I hurt my leg and couldnt ski for a day I made use of the Aquariaz and sat in the outdoor Jacuzzi for over an hour watching people ski past and enjoying the view of the Mountains, from memory it was only 12 Euros, bargain.

It's only my 7th or 8th resort I have visited, but for me and my 2 sons, it ticks every box.

Went in April 25, Jan 26 and April 26 and loved it every time .

Each time was a diffrent feel to a holiday, Jan was busy but never crowded , everything was open the village was magical.

April is prob our fav time as it’s sunny and quieter, as you can see from my picture , I have the slope to myself !! Twice we have done closing week and the parties are brilliant !!! Well worth a weekend visit !!

We love Avoriaz as a family of 4 , with friends and with younger family , it’s a town for everyone.

First time skiing local ski school was great and very patient atmosphere was great hope to go again in 2027

Avoriaz is a beautiful resort with lots of lovely restaurants and bars and the slopes are kept pristine. I would definitely recommend for any beginner!

This was my first ski holiday as a single mum and I loved it! A bit of everything (although I didn’t have too much apres ski). Skiing was extensive with the links to other resorts. Snow park for my son. Ticked all the boxes.

Our group stayed at the Belambra Hotel, which is great for keeping an eye on costs - we just needed to buy lunch each day. Due to this we didn't really sample the apres ski or food in the resort itself.

The week we were there there was a LOT of snow. The priests were very mogulled each day, no real cruising available. I found the resort busier than others we have been to, lots of crowded slopes, lift queues not too bad though.

There's a huge area to ski, including going into Switzerland one way, and Morzine Les Gets the other. So plenty of varied skiing.

I loved that the resort is car free, and that you ski through the main street! Although a custom built resort, the snow just makes it feel so pretty! The horses are fantastic, though hopefully they are well looked after.

I think a return visit could be in order, as we barely scratched the surface!

Had an amazing time, we ended up booking a little late in the year but as Avoriaz was a lot higher than Morzine there was still plenty of good skiing. Got a bit slushy towards the afternoon so make sure to get up early and make the most of the freshly piested sloped if you go later in the season.

Just got back from the last week of the resort being open! It was amazing, although quite and a lot closed, the team at the resort were still looking after the slopes, amazing skiing a looking to go back in peak season to experiences more that the place can offer

Avoriaz was so pretty and one of the best places to ski. Easy ski in and ski out from our apartments. Everything you need around you. Buzzy and the horse and cart was the best experience to our apartment!

Amazing resort and would likely rate the apres ski and food higher if it was earlier in the season. We were there for the last few days of the season and everywhere was closing down and so the choice of bars and restaurants was limited. Lots of blue runs so very family friendly.

I’ve been twice and will go back. A lovely resort. Nice runs for varied levels of ability. Nice great food in Restaurants and bars. Great how you have the option to ski to Switzerland and live how the runs go through the town in avoriaz.

Absolutely loved our week in Avoriaz - truly ski-in, ski-out all around the village! Fabulous blue runs and amazing apres at La Folie Douce. Can’t wait to return!

We went to Avoriaz as a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 teenagers) in Dec 25. Unfortunately we didn’t have any fresh snow whilst we were there but we still had a great time skiing and snowboarding. Lots of different types of pistes suitable for all types of skiers/snowboarders.

Great resort for everyone, from beginners to advanced skiers. You can come back every year and never get bored, proper ski in ski out, car free and just a magical fun resort.

It was a great experience I went for Snowboxx in 2023 it was my first skiing and everyone was helpful and friendly would highly recommend the location and the festival

We had the best time in Avoriaz, so magical arriving in the dark with the whole village lit up and horses to carry you to your apartment. The apartment was excellent and right on the slopes. The slopes were varied and well looked after and the lifts were great. We loved the pool and sledging and everything about the resort. Can't wait to return.
