Been to Bansko maybe ten times and never gets boring brilliant apres ski and perfect groomed slopes for beginners to intermediate skiers with over 75km of piste however there is still a couple of challenging red runs and a very difficult black in the tomba run which is also used in the FIS World Cup races for more advanced skiers looking for a challenge if you are looking for some off piste skiing its as simple as booking a guide and you have the whole of the pirin mountains to explore and enjoy some backcountry skiing. The town of Bansko offers many clubs bars and restaurants for all ages with the common apres ski option being the happy end which will great you at the end of the long 4 km snow road which will take you back to town from the top of the gondola. In the town there are many options for accommodation if you would like a catered chalet or a 5 star hotel Bansko has it all. The main selling point for Bansko is its cheap prices as a lift pass for 7 days can be as cheap as 400lev which is approximately £200. Once you are up the mountain you will be greater with three bars 1 self catering 1 vip room and 1 standard restaurant with various prices and experiences for each of those three options however they can be useful as beginners can access all three without any trouble however just 1 chair lift up the mountain and a short ski down a blue run and you will find yourself at the infamous 180bar with its world class pizzas and traditional mountain food you will be captured and still even with the quality it is a cheaper option then the alps
Overall Bansko is the perfect resort for people who are looking for a ski holiday on a budget or a beginner looking to save money before splashing the cash in the alps.

Skiing was usually pretty good, but strong winds at the start of the week left the upper section of the resort closed of which is where the best groomed slopes can be found.
Unfortunately the lower half of the resort could be very sloppy and wet but considering the lack of snow had by much of the alps that season we were just glad to have snow.
Apres was limited but the town itself had some decent nightlife once you were back down.
Not as miraculously cheap as we had expected but significantly cheaper than the alps and etc so all and all spot on !

Bansko has a small ski area that an advanced skier/snowbaorder would be able to cover the majority of in a day and a half, so long stays are recommended. The food and drink is cheap with lots of options. Salesman outside each restaurant can get quite tedious after a while.

Bansko is an amazing beginner friendly resort for people on a budget. the people are really friendly and loads of different slope options for all rider types, snow reliability is fairly high especially with snow cannons placed throughout the resort, lift queues were minimal and we had an amazing time, food is fairly priced and plenty of different hotel options would definitely go back

Bansko is a perfect resort for beginners. It's cheap, has a range of accommodation options and lots of bars and restaurants. The main town is very heavily apre influenced aswell as up the mountain. If you're looking to go on a budget ski party holiday it is the place to go. If you're looking for a more local experience the old town has some incredible restaurants with lots of Bulgarian culture.

As a ski instructor the mountain itself is very limited and everything can be skied in 1 day, rather easily. Saying this for a little bit of fun and for the price it's still a lot of fun.

The drawbacks of this resort are the 1 gondola station that unless you get there 2 hours before opening then you'll be waiting 2 hours to even get in the gondola. This is something the taxi companies around have caught onto and you can catch a shuttle half way up the mountain where they will drop you off on a blue run where you can access the rest of the mountain. ( I would not advise getting up there in a taxi or shuttle if you cannot ski, you will end up bum sliding down) Saying all of this, there is a beautiful long green run that runs from the base of the mountain all the way down to the town at the bottom. A beginner skiier could do this easily and for more experienced skiers its still a very fun run. Snowboarders may find it more difficult in late season due to sticky snow and long flat spots as you approach the bottom.

As a little warning be careful when drinking long island ice teas, they are lethal.

Bansko was a great destination for anyone who has ski/snowboarding experience already. We went with a complete beginner who only really had 1 run to ski down as he struggled with all the others.

The whole town of Bansko is great, lots of good and drink options for all types of visitors.

The pistes were well groomed and offered a great few days boarding. Good variety of red/blue runs. Would 100% return.

Only downside is the queue for the gondola on the mornings can be very long, so either get there early, or find a local taxi to take you to the top for a very cheap price!

Had a brilliant time here with a group of friends hotel was a two min walk onto the green run then down to the gondola, slopes where fresh every morning but got a little bit chewed up come the end of play but still great fun. Had a couple of lessons and they were good value for money compared to France. Local Beer was around £2.50 a pint tasted great. Was a real buzz about the place. Approx 60km of ski slopes so great for all abilities. Ski hire was very cheap in the hotel that we were staying, super friendly staff! They even put the bbq on after a tough day on the slopes free of charge and whipped up a platter of meat. They shared out some home made alcohol that was like rocket fuel also! Skinpasses for 4 days was around £70-£80 So all in all a great place to go for a budget ski trip.

Looking for a cheap spot with some great skiing look no further! It is an exceptional skiing spot with some good off piste areas.

Worst place Ive ever skid. Very poor quality all round. Food was mid and not as reasonable as the internet made me believe.

Fantastic for a short break, went in March and had a blast, very cheap and very friendly. Very warm towards the end of the season
