Smaller escort but great runs and well groomed. Good bars and restaurants in the ski area and great Aprils ski in the bars etc. great food and cheap holiday. Can get busy on the main chair lift but full run down to the town is great to come home

Bansko is a great resort, especially for beginners. It is comparatively cheap, yet there are plenty of runs and even a ski road into the town. There are other activities to do outside of snow sports too, such as thermal baths, yours, hikes and shooting.
Im very excited to go back and hit the slopes, which are usually wide, not too busy on weekdays and have lots of variety.
I wouldnt recommend for those looking for a serious challenge, the black runs are limited and not super hard.

Great atmosphere great for beginners the apres is different in every bar the old town is great for eating out and going somewhere nice for a night

For beginners this is a really good resort in terms of value and experience. There are multiple ski schools and the prices are cheaper than what you would expect elsewhere for the same deal. There is more than just beginner runs for those who are looking for a little bit more so there is something for everyone. Food is great and authentic close to the gondola station and all other amenities can be found close by. The chairlift will get busy depending on what time you get there as there is only one main station but that can be avoided going early or later on in the day

I've had a wonderful time at this resort, great staff and really friendly environment. The slopes were really enjoyable and I'd recommend for anyone regardless of skill level to come give a visit, there's something for everyone.

The resort in general is pretty good value, but the slopes are hit or miss depending on the weather. Sometimes they're great, other times the popular ones are icy and crowded. The chalets are alright, with some music (nothing too wild), and the whole vibe with the woodsy decor is nice. There aren't tons of slopes, but it's fine for a group with beginners, I believe. If you're lucky and the ski road is open, it's a fun way to end the day, cruising back to town with your friends.

As a Brit / European on a budget, Bansko is the place to go!
10/10
Not as good for gargantuan powder hound off piste drops, but back country is top notch.
Park is great, night life is great.
And hey, you spent this much to get out here... Enjoy the finer life for cheaper than nearly every other European resort, without sacrificing the quality!

Great place to learn to ski, the ski road is really long and flat. Saves having to constantly go up and down a short run on a t bar lift etc. Went last year to scope it out and will be taking my little brother (5) this season for him to learn to ski.

Accomodation and prices are great value for money. Also no need to fear missing the last gondola as the ski road takes you all the way back to town

The range was not the biggest if been to so it got a bit boring after a while but off peast was good. There was no apres really but the town was a good nightlife.
The lifts were constantly running and efficient when stopped.
I was impressed with the way the place ran. Even in bad weather they looked after it well.

Id been to other older Bulgarian resorts many years ago, Bansko has a much more refreshing& modern feel and still good value with not a huge but well organised ski area once you have got up the mountain via the bottle neck that is the main gondola from the village, no problem though during quiet weeks.

Bansko is a great place to go for skiing the runs and good and normally not to busy. There are plenty of rest points on the mountain for food or a drink. And the and staff are very friendly. After skiing the town comes to life with every bar holding a different atmosphere than the last. I would personally recommend amigos bar as it has a live band every night. Overall a great place to go skiing with friends and family. Highly recommend Bansko.

Very cheap for a ski resort and definitely family friendly. Minimal black runs and poor piste conditions lets it down. Apres were not great either.

A decent resort for cheap. Not very luxury. Only one ski lift from the bottom of the mountain. Not the biggest variety of runs. But to get back in to skiing for an affordable price. Still worth doing

Bansko is a beautiful resort, but there are lots of faults, they only have 1 lift up to the mountain and thats the Gondola & you normally wait about 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs to get on, the queues are ridiculous, the pistes are so so busy, best time to go is end of season late March, you are never guaranteed good snow conditions, the lifts are old once you get off the Gondola and queues are long.
Food is amazing, hotels are greatly priced, its a friendly town, amazing culture, runs are not that long & can be icy or slushy, there is no netting anywhere, if you go off the edge of the mountain then its game over.
Apart from the queues it not a bad place for learning or intermediate, park is pretty poor, they do have a ski road at the top of the Gondola that you can board bk down to the town which is not bad at all, its not a cat track but you do need to carry some speed, its about 4k distance bk down or 40mins on the Gondola.

Bansko is a great european resort if you are looking for a cheaper option. The apres ski is vibrant and the groomed slopes are in great condition. The snow machine infrastructure is very good so the is not many bare slopes at the end of the season. The resort, however, is limited in size allowing advanced skiers to complete all the slopes in just a couple days. It is also great for beginners but not very challenging for experienced skiers.

The slopes aren't as well groomed as some other resorts and countries, but runs are fun and varied. Plenty of nice wide runs for those who are in their first few ski holidays.
Very reasonably priced with good food options. Plenty of bars to chose from, both on the slopes and in the town. For a quieter evening the old town is also nice.
Queues for the gondola can be very busy at times during school holidays, but if you're more flexible with when you want to be on the slopes (not in ski school) there is a live feed to see the queue.
Recommend for those with a smaller budget looking for a ski trip.
