Great to go for cheap skiing! Good vibes but the resort is a bit small so you end up doing the same runs a lot.

Good skiing, off piste looked great but sadly the conditions weren’t quite on for it. Quiet pistes and mainly short lift queues but gondola not great. Have heard peak season (Feb) is a pain.

I visited in March 2026 for a week with friends, some of which are new to skiing. Bansko had great facilities, from beginner slopes for learning through to a fun park for some nice jumps. Price and value for money is great so would definitely consider it again.

Overall a great resort. Not loads of runs but enough to see you through the week. Excellent nightlife and a huge amount to do if you don’t want to ski every day

Reasonable number of runs to choose from but not a huge resort. Cheaper option upfront and some bars around the town were cheap when you get there but I found the prices on the mountain vary and can be very expensive at times, the staff seem to make the prices up as drinks were different prices each time you went to the bar so need to be wary of this.

Too many people, gondola lift was horrendous. Slopes good at the top but not enough infrastructure to deal with the amount of people, wony go back

We really loved Bansko to be at the bottom of the gondola and to do lost around Bansko.

However, all the slopes were rammed unless you were off piest. The gondola queue was 4 hours long, the staff were not friendly, we took our own food and drinks on the slopes because of business of the cafes.

Definitely more expensive now that it is euro but still very reasonable down in the old town. Bottle of corona up the slopes was €9!!! Lift pass too expensive for km of runs

March is the most glorious month to visit Bansko. Virtually empty slopes, sunny days, well groomed snow, open snow park, mogul field and a variety of green, blue, red and black runs.

The resort is unfortunately a bit too popular and busy during February which results in lots of queuing to get up the mountain

Great week, great snow, great vibes. Gondola queue can take a while in the morning if you don’t get up early enough.
Super fun bars to visit on the ski road on the way down!

A bit crowded on the slopes but to be expected with how cheap it is. The runs are great!!! The vibes were great too with everyone enjoying pints and some good house music on the mountain.

Bansko was great value for money, the main gondola had some queues first thing in the morning but you can get a taxi to the ski lifts easily if needed. The old town is absolutely gorgeous! And the apres ski options were fab. The bars/restaurants on the mountain were slightly expensive but much cheaper in the town. Lots of shops easily accessible to stock up on necessities. Would highly recommend :)

Bansko is a budget friendly resort. Skiing isn’t amazing but you sacrifice that with the cheap costs of most things. Having said that, this year the snow was really good and the sun was shining. A solid mountain and good layers this year.
Prices on the mountain are expensive, comparable to France.
Prices off the mountain are cheap. Not as cheap as it used to be but still cheap.
The main issue with Bansko is the wait time for the Gondola to get up the mountain (it’s not Ski In/Ski Out). At peak times it can be hours. You can get a taxi or bus up but it will cost you more money. Your Ski Pass doesn’t cover this.
Apres Ski is 10/10. Lots going on in Bansko. It’s not Snow Sure but each time I’ve been the snow has been OK or good.
Plenty of lifts. Some good runs. Ski Road is really good.

A brilliant ski trip. The timing of early march was perfect as there were pretty much no queues for the gondola in the mornings apart from during the weekebd days. The blue parts of runs were nice but could be very icy during the mornings. I didnt like the way that I would go to follow a blue run but it would turn steep red then back to blue then back to red continuously which made it quite frustrating. The best run I thought was the ski road 1 which h lead all the way from the Bansko gondola top station back to the bottom station. A bit flat for boarders but also had some really nice parts which I enjoyed playful riding on. Restaurants were great up the mountain as well as in the town.

Had a lovely week in Bansko. A small place but very quaint. Not as busy as the bigger resorts i've been to and good last minute availability for lessons and hire at a cheap price & eating out is relatively cheap too
