What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

St. Anton is truly one of those ski gems. There is so much terrain available for all levels. Their lift equipment, snowmaking, and trail maintenance are stellar—one of the best of the Alps.

Had an excellent week. Most of the town is less than a 2 minute walk to a lift. Lots of good apres options in the town and near the lifts. Not a great place to do the Run of Fame from but we did it anyway!

Nice resort, the grades of runs are fair (ie in Italy the blacks were only red), fairly well connected to get to Lech, lovely mountain restaurants, St Anton has lots of life & shops, ski hire has been great.

The ski area is huge with a great variety of difficulty the run from the highest point down to st cristoph is possibly my favourite run, just be aware of the home run as it bottlenecks as you head down, if you get the chance to travel to the close by resort of Lech and Zurs they are amazing too.

Really enjoyed my holiday in St Anton. Apres-Ski is brilliant. Resort is also very family friendly and has lots of facilities for both adults and children. The snow coverage wasn’t brilliant overall, but the resort was very quiet and had a large range of slopes available.

The best resort for all round in my opinion. The apres ski is unmatched and it’s one of the only places the nightlife caters to all group sizes e.g. you don’t feel you need to be in a huge group to enjoy.

Really decent resort to visit in March. Premium prices compared to some other options but overall worth it. Most of the group travelled easily from Basel, CH, and one joined from the UK, flying to ZRH.

St Anton is one of the best resorts around. A huge ski area to use, especially with the option to now get lifts directly to the Lech area. There really are endless ski opportunities.

The town is great with lots to do and lots of nightlife.

Apres in St Anton is obviously legendary and so much fun.

Can’t fault anything about St Anton it’s the best place in the world!

Great resort for anyone slightly above beginner level, fantastic skiing and apres, just hard to coach a beginner through the narrow runs that are quite technical once cut up later in the day

Very enjoyable, even though we came late in the season so struggled with snow. Lovely, not too busy and some lovely scenic blues. Very nice food spots as well with great views.

Great skiing options for all levels and the atmosphere no matter where on the mountain is awesome. Can’t wait to go back again. The price of an on foot visitor is slightly too high in my opinion though for one of our injured group members.

Area suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers, not so much for others unless stick to Lech area. Great variety of skiing, mountain restaurants & good apres ski. Relatively expensive accommodation, but not so for food & drinks.
