What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

St Anton is one of the best resorts around. A huge ski area to use, especially with the option to now get lifts directly to the Lech area. There really are endless ski opportunities.

The town is great with lots to do and lots of nightlife.

Apres in St Anton is obviously legendary and so much fun.

Can’t fault anything about St Anton it’s the best place in the world!

Great resort for anyone slightly above beginner level, fantastic skiing and apres, just hard to coach a beginner through the narrow runs that are quite technical once cut up later in the day

Very enjoyable, even though we came late in the season so struggled with snow. Lovely, not too busy and some lovely scenic blues. Very nice food spots as well with great views.

Great skiing options for all levels and the atmosphere no matter where on the mountain is awesome. Can’t wait to go back again. The price of an on foot visitor is slightly too high in my opinion though for one of our injured group members.

St Anton is an amazing ski area stretching to Warth, Lech and Zurs. It has some great couloirs as well as off piste areas. The Austrian apres is unmatched and the town has a great traditional Austrian vibe. Great place for a holiday or an entire season!

Area suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers, not so much for others unless stick to Lech area. Great variety of skiing, mountain restaurants & good apres ski. Relatively expensive accommodation, but not so for food & drinks.

St. Anton is a world famous resort but maybe to its own detriment. When we were there in March, the resort was very busy (accidentally timed with Belgium school holidays although it is difficult to avoid holidays from all European countries) There are bottlenecks to get up and out the town and getting going for the day felt like a very slow process with waits of 20 - 30 mins in many of the first few lifts. Vast ski area so you can eventually get away from the crowds and explore the huge amount of terrain. Unfortunately when we were there it was 8-10 degrees celsius up the mountain so we were unable to test out the freeride opportunities which it is famous for. Fun to check out the different areas from Lech-Zurs to Warth. We didn't find it as easy to navgate as some of the other big ski areas such as Tignes / Val d'isere.

The town itself has a good vibe with lots of accommodation options and a varied choice of restaurants. Lots of options for après too from quieter spots to rowdier party places like KK and Mooserwirt. Not a hidden gem but I would give it another go during a quiet time of the season and after a powder dump!

Probably not a resort to learn if you have not skied before but a vast ski area for all other abilities. The area attracts all types from ski bums to royalty with prices to match. The majority of restaurants have a great traditional atmosphere with friendly staff.

Huge snowpark, lots of off piste terrain. I had my best powder rides here. They get a lot of snow in st. Anton and the possibilities are endless as it is a big resort. Very good apres Ski, no big lift lines. Highly recommend resort

There are certain runs that everyone has to use to get home; these are very busy and full of moguls from lunchtime
There are limited wide cruising pistes, most are challenging for intermediates.
Large ski area, and its worth exploring and going further away into other valleys/areas to experience the best. eg. Lech has lovely runs.
St Anton apres is bangin - amazing fun in Krazy Kangaruh.
Quality of food and bars is high, and prices too. But you pay for quality.
Not a resort for beginners.

St Anton can get very busy on the slopes but has excellent off-piste that should be tackled with a guide. However, its a very large ski area which is linked to Lech, Stuben & St. Christof where the slopes are not so busy.
Large choice of hotels and chalet accommodation and apres-ski is very lively.
