What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

Lovely resort, miles of slopes, easy lifts and friendly staff. Good apres on the mountain but a different vibe to France, less brits which (as a Brit), suits us fine!

My brother and I have skied all over, but St. Anton is hands down our favourite. The skiing is world-class, with endless pistes and incredible off-piste terrain. Whether you're carving groomers or tackling deep powder, it's got it all. The après scene is just as good, with a brilliant atmosphere and lovely, friendly people everywhere you go.Top tip: A must is spending an afternoon at Arl One après bar on blue 50, followed by drinks at Basecamp at the bottom of the gondola both perfect spots to soak up the St. Anton vibe.Pros: Great ski area, very varied Unbeatable après-ski Friendly atmosphereCons: Very busy on the main lifts either get up early or wait until later in the morning to head upAlready counting down to our next trip!

The ski area is huge. You can gain access to lech, zurs and warth. There are lots of great food options on the mountain. The apres ski is fantastic with multiple bars on the slopes. There is also a busy nightlife in the town! There is an amazing long red run off of muggengratbahn in zurs which is usually very quiet as people dont realise it leads back to the main ski area in zurs! Great place all round!

Wide ski area catering for all abilities . Some great off piste which was even better as we were treated to powder for 4 days. Fantastic restaurants that are reasonably priced for quality food. Fun bars for Apres ski, making it a great resort for a fun holiday.

About two years ago my family and friends made a trip to St. Anton. We are from Toronto, Canada, it was my first time skiing in the Alps, and the views alone were breathtaking. The ski resort was vast and spread throughout multiple towns, so you are able to ski from village to village. The green and blue runs are very family friendly, and the off-pistes are no joke, haha. There are bars to drink and grab a bite all over the mountain. You can grab a beer at the panorama bar overlooking the ski park. The apre ski culture is very fun and lively, it was truly a memorable time at St. Anton! My in-laws do a lot of skiing in Europe and have concluded that St. Anton/Austria is their favourite place to ski, hence why they took us there. Highly recommend for family skiing and for advanced skiing!!

Great resort. UK prices for food (decent places) but better quality. Recommend the SportHotel, nice rooms and excellent t half board evening meals (buffet salad bar then off menu for 3 courses) and breakfast (buffet hot and cold , loads of options). Skiing epic can travel a long way but takes some navigating finishing a long day down the black (moguls) to get to the two jumping apres bars ( moosewirt & krazy kanguruh) is a final test to earn your pint (and good filling food). Austrian quality and prices lower than France, whats not to like. Not one for beginners or those looking for cruisey blues!

We loved this trip!We stayed in St Anton for 6 days over the festive season for my mother in laws 60th - there were 10 of us sharing a 5 bedroom catered chalet. The youngest of the group is 9 and eldest 63. There is so much to do in the area other than the slopes - which are awesome and suit all levels/ my husband had a great time off piste in the powder. We went sledging, played curling and road in a horse and cart. Amazing fun!Food, drink and local music helped us unwind in the evenings - the fondue and hot wine at the underground pub are a must We can't wait to go back ️

First time to St Anton Very impressed with the immediate area but really impressed with the ease of access to the surrounding areas along the valley , really enjoyed the ski challengers like the run of fame and enjoyed skiing over to Lech .There are masses of off piste ski routes to enjoy and test your skills on.The town of St Anton is very clean and tidy , very good shops and excellent restaurants to suit all budgets.Apres ski is absolutely great and lots of fun in the many bars .I would highly recommend a visit to St Snton 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
