What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

Amazing resort with tough skiing. The Apres scene has exploded, making this a very popular resort nowadays. Unfortunately that has ticked the price of accommodation up I think.

St. Anton or should I say St. Manton is a great resort with fantastic slopes and a very lively nightlife. However, there are a lot of speed demons, mainly young men, whizzing about the place without much slope etiquette. Saw a few accidents including getting smacked into myself, luckily not injured...but that was on a blue run. Some have no regard for others on the slope. Having said that, a bit like driving in the centre of Paris, you get used to it!

Great resort. Challenging runs, but loads of fun. Would recommend highly for intermediate-expert level skiers. Beautiful town with lots of runs to other stunning villages like Lech.

Great family holiday in St.Anton. Plenty of variety for kids to enjoy. Good transport links. Efficient ski hire & lift pass purchases. Friendly & helpful locals. The nativity advent market was great to attend with our younger children who really enjoyed it. Delicious food out on the slopes, though we found this resort more pricey than some others.

For me when it comes to skiing the most important thing it the experience from when you get up in the morning until you finally get in that evening. St. Anton does not disappoint. The town itself is the ideal size to facilitate everything you may need but also holds onto its own sense of Austrian village charm, a great place to start your day. The walk to the lenken Bahn from the array of Fantastic accommodations is pleasant as is the efficiency and modernity of the penkenbahn itself. A days skiing in the legendary Arlberg area doesnt let the side down either with an option for every level and offers the adventurer an opportunity to venture beyond to lech, Christoph, warthand Schrocken, that is all depending on the riders hunger for adventure. The mountain area offers copious options for breakfast and lunch. Most importantly a visit to the krazy kangaruu is an important part of any visit to st Anton and an experience in itself. The krazy kangaruu is a great way to unwind at the end of a long days skiing and a warm up to the evening in the town itself. I must also add that the conditions provided in the mountain of groomed and off piste are equally thrilling. Ski arlberg offers challenging skiing for those of you who are ambitious but also offers an array of enjoyable easy going skiing especially suited to those graduating from ski school. Do not hesitate to book st Anton, you will not be disappointed. In my opinion the resort, gastronomy, accommodations, skiing, and nightlife compliment eachother perfectly. Cheers Ben.

St Anton is a great resort. Plenty of groomed slopes and also off piste. The Aprés ski in St Anton is the best I have experienced. I wouldn't recommend the resort for people who have never skied before as a lot of the 'easier' slopes can be daunting and also very busy, especially at the end of the day. But for skiers/snowboarders who have a few weeks experience to advanced, it is a great resort and offers plenty of options.

Having skied and lived in St Anton for 2 years, the village has a wealth of facilities for familys including an amazing leisure centre. The ski terrain is challenging and caters for all levels, the food is fantastic and there are many restaurants with fantastic viewpoints for the mid morning pick me up to nutritional lunches. As the sun goes down and the end of the day descent down happy valley or Kandahar, the apres sessions at KKs & Moosewirt begin! In my opinion St Anton is the mid way between challenging terrain, Austrian hospitality at its finest and something for all the family.

Loved how many runs there were. Ski instructors were great. The resort was really amazing. There were some blues which are not ideal for snowboarders but overall great. There is a blue run passing moosiwirt apres skis thats wonderful.

Used to ski St Anton as a teenager and recently returned solo as an adult. Just as good as I remember! Great range of accommodation from family run B&Bs to luxury hotels with spa and pools. Pistes incredible and with access to whole of Ski Arlberg you'll never be bored, also insane off piste options. Skischule Arlberg highly recommended, always great instructors. Plenty of food options, you wont find a bad place on the mountain for lunch. Apres out of this world if thats your thing but also loads of places for a quiet hot chocolate at the end of the day. St Anton has it all, I dont think I could ever go anywhere else

I went in the second week of January for my first time skiing! The ski instructor was great, I learned how to basic ski in 3-4 days of lessons. Some busy pistes but they were much quieter by Thursday, then busy again on Sunday. Also the womens FIS championship was here on the weekend which was really cool to see!
