What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

Brilliant resort for more qualified skiers. Covers a huge area which is lovely and is connected with some brilliant towns like Lec. Not so good for beginners as it is on average very steep. A lot of the resort services and infrastructure is of higher quality than in France. Brilliant town with loads of bars and restaurants. Works most times of the year, but no summer skiing is available.

Beautiful resort, looks fantastic like a proper winter wonderland. lots of lifts and queue time not too bad. Great runs for beginners with long downhills through amazing scenery. Plenty of steep runs which I am told are challenging but too much for me. Great sledge run too and night skiing for laughs. Bars are pricey but it's Austria so expected and some very fancy restaurants if that's your thing.

Amazing skiing, although challenging for beginners. The apres is the best I've seen, and the food options are great. Not loads of options for accomodation unless you want a hotel accom though

We stayed in saint cristoph but skied the area with saint anton.
The hotel was right on the slopes so very convenient. The one day we had of visibility was beautiful and covered a lot of ground with some wonderful, wide open runs to practise carving but the rest of the week was very poor . The conditions were not great with slushy snow . I would give austra another go but good on the mountains was poor with chips being the main choice of food.

St Anton is a great resort but mostly for advanced skiing. The intermediate and beginners could struggle on some slopes. Best thing about this resort is that you can access the best Apres Ski also via bus from the resort, without having to ski there. The options for food are wide and it is not hugely expensive.

Super lovely not as many difficult slopes as I had would have wanted. Weather was bad so hard to give the best judgment.

Only great things to say about St. Anton am Arlberg. Ski school is world class. With 85 lifts and more than 300km of slopes, great apres ski, friendly locals and delicious food, it is a bucket list ski trip. Lift fees are surprisingly affordable compared to the US/Canada.

It was really fun! There is a massive ski area including lech, zurs and earth all in one. Connections between these are mainly good but can be limited by poor weather and high winds. The resort is not extremely high but snow conditions are still generally quite good but the further you get into the valley the slushier it gets in the afternoon. Generally the standard of skier is quite good and there arent that many easy runs in Stanton. Luckily there are in lech but that is slightly further away and difficult to get to without a bus. Overall its a great resort with great vibes and great fun, would highly recommend!!!

Visited St Anton for the first time over new year! Lovely resort with great apres. Skiing quite challenging for beginner/intermediate skiers and quite short runs.

Fun resort with plenty happening, mostly good for couples and groups (though I do not have children so cant comment as a family really). Lots of terrain to choose from and possible to visit other resorts nearby if weather and lifts allow.

St anton is one of the friendliest and most fun ski resorts Ive ever been too! Weve been going for the last 6 years on a girls trip! Have made friends with the locals, big shout out to Basecamp! Its a home from home for us to ski and never disappoints!
Must dos ;
1. Basecamp for apes ski
2. Hospiz Alms for a balcony lunch
3. Ski from st Anton through Zurs to lech
4. Apres in lech in bar krone
5. Late night music session in Anthonys

Make sure you visit you will not be disappointed!!

Wonderful resort. Huge range of runs to suit level. No major queues while we were in town. Apres ski is something and is still very much on the mountain. Good range of places to eat in the main town.

Been to this resort as a child on a family holiday and in my 20s and whilst had very different experiences, they both provided fantastic skiing. Massive ski range with links to other resorts including Lech (which has some brilliant restaurants). Great snow/pistes/off-piste). The best après ski Ive been to - but a bit expensive but no more than lots of others. Nice food but will always find better food in France/Italy in my opinion. Definitely would recommend and at the top of my list as a resort Id like to return to.

I love St. Anton, it has something for everyone but in particular for people who love après ski. It has a great vibe and ski area. There can sometimes be a bit of a queue when trying to get over to Zurs / Lech but other than that I love this resort and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

St. Anton and the linked region are a paradise for advanced skiers, but still fine for those learning, especially with such great ski schools, this being the home of skiing. And the apres-ski is simply awesome. You will have a wonderful wee and want to go back time after time, as I have. Enjoy!
