What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

We had the best week in St. Anton over Christmas. The village feels very Austrian and there are many places to eat that included genuine local food (not just overly Americanised food that you get at other resorts.) transport was great with free buses within the town and connecting to other parts of the ski area. There are many winter hikes that are achievable from the town which were gorgeous. The Christmas markets near the museum were spectacular, very traditional with big open fires. Finally, the skiing itself was great, we had plenty of powder due to the favourable weather conditions. I would say the runs are on the more difficult side, with many blue runs being closer to reds within other resorts (due to steepness and mogul presence mainly). Resort is well run though, minimal lines at lifts and everyone was very friendly. Huge skiable area and cannot wait to return!

A genuinely brilliant resort that offers a wide array of pisted and off-piste skiing across a large area and many mountains. The Ski Routes are numerous and offer great tree skiing and 'off-piste' in good snow conditions. Something on offer for every type of skier. Aprés is lively and varied. Resort is more on the expensive side for food, drink, and accomodation.

Absolutely love this resort, have been coming here for many years. The skiing is amazing, however slopes are steep so wouldnt recommend for a beginner. Apres ski is not to be missed here with the Mooserwirt being top pick!

Amazing resort for more experienced skiers/ snowboarders, in a huge ski area with plenty of accessible off piste. The lifts are nice and efficient, with the older lifts being regularly upgraded. Easily some of the best apres in Europe. Only downsides are that theres not much for beginners and accommodation tends to be very expensive.

Huge ski area with something for everyone from beginners to advance, from peiste skiers to off peiste and park rats. Well connected areas and new lifts/signed slopes make it an enjoyable place to ski. Can't say much wrong about the place!

Incredible resort - high quality skiing, beautiful scenery and great apres!

Lots of great skiing for skiers with a bit of experience and upwards. Not an abundance of easy beginner runs but all abilities will be just fine. If the snow is good theres some great off piste and technical stuff of the Valuga lift!

Theres also an incredible long blue run through the valley!

A great all round resort, especially now the liaison with Lech/Zurs is in place. Wide variety of fantastic runs (probably better tailored to intermediate/advanced), the best apres ski in Europe, and great accommodation in a beautiful town. All little over an hour away from Innsbruck Airport.

After years of skiing the Austrian and French Alps, we always come back to St Anton. Delivers on every front, but excels itself at Apres. Just the best resort bar none! Great piste skiing too.

It's been a long time since I have been to this resort, but can't wait to go again.
I had some of the best off piste riding in St anton and there parks were pretty amazing 2
If your looking for something awesome to do in the evening, don't even take off your boots head straight to MooserWirt on the home run, you will definitely be dancing on the tables by the end of the evening

St Anton is awesome. Huge ski area which makes price of the lift pass worth the money. Off piste can be incredible. The Moosewirt is probably the best après bar in Europe. Not cheap but you 100% get what you pay for.

We spent an amazing week skiing in St. Anton and couldnt recommend it more! Our hotel was right by the slopes, which made it super convenient (though not cheap), and we loved unwinding in the wellness center after long days on the mountain. The ski area is vast, with so many different runs to exploreincluding a trip over to Lech, which was stunning. The après-ski lived up to the hype (MooserWirt was a highlight), and the food scene had plenty of great options. Its also so easy to get toonly an hours drive from Innsbruck. A perfect mix of adventure and relaxation!

Ive holidayed in St. Anton my whole life (9-10 weeks in total) and Im planning on doing a ski season there too next year. Its a lively, comforting and stunning resort with plenty of apres ski if thats your thing. It has tons of on piste options with over 350km of runs and equally extensive options off-piste. I couldnt recommend St. Anton enough. In my opinion top 5 ski resorts in the world. And you have access to the rest of the Arlberg area so you can have a nice little break in any of the smaller villages up the valley. 10/10 resort

St anton is a thriving town with amazing apres and food options for all. The slopes themselves are exceptional, boasting great conditions for most of the season. At lower altitudes there are a range of relaxed treelined runs and higher up technical blacks and off piste routes provide a great challenge. Slopes can be very busy, particularly the run down into the town at the end of the day but there is an option to take the gondola down if you arent feeling comfortable. Overall the resort offers everything youd want from a ski trip, albeit at quite a high price tag
