What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

It's been a long time since I have been to this resort, but can't wait to go again.

If your looking for something awesome to do in the evening, don't even take off your boots head straight to MooserWirt on the home run, you will definitely be dancing on the tables by the end of the evening

St Anton is awesome. Huge ski area which makes price of the lift pass worth the money. Off piste can be incredible. The Moosewirt is probably the best après bar in Europe. Not cheap but you 100% get what you pay for.

We spent an amazing week skiing in St. Anton and couldnt recommend it more! Our hotel was right by the slopes, which made it super convenient (though not cheap), and we loved unwinding in the wellness center after long days on the mountain. The ski area is vast, with so many different runs to exploreincluding a trip over to Lech, which was stunning. The après-ski lived up to the hype (MooserWirt was a highlight), and the food scene had plenty of great options. Its also so easy to get toonly an hours drive from Innsbruck. A perfect mix of adventure and relaxation!

Ive holidayed in St. Anton my whole life (9-10 weeks in total) and Im planning on doing a ski season there too next year. Its a lively, comforting and stunning resort with plenty of apres ski if thats your thing. It has tons of on piste options with over 350km of runs and equally extensive options off-piste. I couldnt recommend St. Anton enough. In my opinion top 5 ski resorts in the world. And you have access to the rest of the Arlberg area so you can have a nice little break in any of the smaller villages up the valley. 10/10 resort

St anton is a thriving town with amazing apres and food options for all. The slopes themselves are exceptional, boasting great conditions for most of the season. At lower altitudes there are a range of relaxed treelined runs and higher up technical blacks and off piste routes provide a great challenge. Slopes can be very busy, particularly the run down into the town at the end of the day but there is an option to take the gondola down if you arent feeling comfortable. Overall the resort offers everything youd want from a ski trip, albeit at quite a high price tag

We have been skiing as a group of friends with a guide in St Anton for years. There is amazing off piste skiiing that you don' have to hike miles to find and some fabulous bars and restaurants at the end of them. The variety of terrain and scenery is incredible with so many different resorts all linked by a lift system but also connected through off piste routes. The Apres Ski is nearly as challenging as the skiing with some world famous bars playing 80s music and everyone dancing on the chairs and tables. AS great way to stretch and warm down after a hard day on the slopes.

Transfers from Innsbruk are very simple, straight and take about an hour. You literally pull off the motorway into the resort.

Accommodation is generally pretty good. Arriving later is a challenge as restaurant close quite early.

The lift system is good and quick. It can take a little time to get to to a height where you are skiing the main runs.

On piste restaurants are good with large catering options on the hill or down in the resorts such as St Christoph.

Apres ski is fun and caters for different options: youthful, families, oldies.

A great fun place with lots of skiing options

Wthout doubt one of the best off piste terrains in Europe if you are happy with using skins. Off piste close to the lifts gets tracked very quickly as many good skiers.

the ten interconnecting resorts can be skied in one day for over 100km of skiing.

Reknown for its apres ski, but really its range of skiing is quite phenomenal.

Great lift system and if you are going at half term - take the single skier lane - you will fly through the lifts.

Only down side is if you are a relatively new skiers as the final runs into the resort can get very crowded (at peak times) unless you go off piste. Definitely one of the best resorts in Europe

St Anton is a busy, and sometimes, hectic resort. Ski facilities are excellent, having boot warming overnight facilities at the bottom of the slope. The bars and apres ski is fantastic, not cheap (what is in a ski resort), but great fun.
The off-piste and advanced ski runs are excellent, however, intermediate runs are also excellent. Beginners are not well catered for.
Runs back into St. Anton can get pretty busy at the end of the day. However, this is a great resort, possibly my favorite, holding excellent memories for myself and my late wife, Tina, and our friends.

Enjoy it.

Not great for beginners as there are very few easy runs (no green runs) but excellent for advanced skiers with a large area to explore.

Had the sharp edges knocked off.

St Anton used to be the place where the extreme skiers skied hard all day and partied harder every evening but in the last decade it has been gentrified. The unlisted itineraries that made the White Ring a challenge have been tamed, the nightclubs in town are now lady friendly coffee shops, and the Mooserwirt is now an Instagrammers selfie station and so rammed it is impossible to move.

Progress perhaps, but I think Anton has lost its charm in the process

Amazing resort part of the Arlberg region which includes Lech, Zurs, Stuben and St Christophe. Good tip take the bus from St Christoph to a wonderful quiet resort Sonnenkope (also part of your Arlber lift pass).
Very good public transport and the train station in right in the middle of town with connections to Zurich or Innsbruck.
