Easily big enough for the most adventurous of ski groups. Excellent infrastructure on and off piste, so it’s easy to use out of town accommodation, and have a good time in poor weather conditions. The best on the mountain food options I’ve ever experienced.

Really good resort. Great pistes. Plenty of places to eat and drink and at great quality. Hospitality is fantastic throughout. Easy to get around in town and on the mountains. We didn’t have that much snow when we went so can’t speak much about the off piste and some of the runs that were unavailable but for what we had it was still great and would recommend.

Great resort for no queues, snow sure and over 270km of runs!! The interconnected zones are fabulous and allow you access to a huge area. You’ll struggle to ski it all in a weeks holiday

Great resort with lifts from your doorstep, which helps keep the queues quiet.
Great choice of runs, some blues are
Like reds. Not many black runs, but the ones that are there are ok.
Resort apres is good, didn’t do much as one of our party can’t do noisy bars.
Look forward to going back.

Very large area with good lift system. Not much snow when we were there so no off piste skiing done. Have been begore and off piste is good in better snow conditions. Very family friendly with lots of snow play parks fir kidson blue runs. Was busier than expected for January. More expensive than other smaller areas we have been to.

Saalbach is absolutely huge! But it’s really way to navigate. The gondolas and chairlifts are all super modern and quick. The slopes are really wide and terrain is varied. We went in March so it was really quiet which we absolutely loved.
Food was incredible and all the restaurants be visited were really traditional and the music was fantastic.
The best bit though? Hardly any cat tracks, we found there were way too many in other resorts and they just hurt your legs and drain energy if you loose speed. This makes the resort great for snowboarders as well as skiers.

Loads of ski areas to visit and the lift service is great. The run are particularly long and some of the queues were massive during busy periods. Not a place I'd go back to.

We stayed in Vaya fieberbrunn which was brilliant, couldn’t get better, food was great, spa open from 7-9 everyday and brilliant service and rooms. Saalbach area was good, we got lucky with the snow as it had a little dump whilst we where there which gave us access to some good off piste. Lower end of pistes let it down as it got slushy but that’s to expect in late season. Lots of nice bars on slopes. The only inconvenience was the Tirol 1 and Tirol 2 lift. It’s the link lift that connects fieberbrunn to hinterglemm. It’s shuts at 3:30 which is quite early considering it’s the only option back unless you get a bus which is not ideal. If you plan on doing the Saalbach loop, get on the first lift at 8 in morning if you want a nice lunch.

I stayed in Vaya fieberbrunn, got lucky with snow, had a nice little dump that gave us access to some good off piste but none of it was overly challenging. Pistes where very good but again the snow was just letting it down a bit but that’s to expect at end of season. Brilliant hotel, couldn’t get better. Lifts were all very new with heated seats etc. the only lift that was awkward was the Tirol 1 and Tirol 2. It shuts at 3.30 which is quite early considering it’s the link lift to and throw fieberbrunn and Hinterglemm meaning it made it hard and rushed to do the loop of saalbach.

This was my groups fourth trip to Saalbach. We have stayed in a few different hotels. We are a group of mixed level skiers and boarders. The resort never fails to provide everything we need for an enjoyable trip.

Hinterglemm is a great ski town, plenty of bars and restaurants and great apres ski atmosphere. The ski circus is a huge area with a very efficient lift system. We rarely had to queue, lifts are fast and big!

Great lift facilities compared to what I experienced in France and Italy. The mountain huts were also super charming and the food was tasty.
