What Skiers Say About Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa

Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from first-timers to advanced riders, with many reviews coming from UK visitors seeking budget-friendly trips. The resort is consistently praised for affordability, extensive interconnected terrain across the Grandvalira area, and a lively après-ski and nightlife scene. Snow quality receives mixed feedback—reliable at higher altitude with effective snow cannons, but prone to ice and slush in warmer periods or late season. The town itself is frequently described as lacking alpine charm, with concrete architecture, though dining and shopping options are plentiful and well-priced. Wind closures on upper lifts can restrict access to the wider ski area, confining riders to lower greens. Transfer times from Barcelona (3-4 hours) are a common complaint.

Great resort. Friendly people. Stunning mountains. I crowded. Good snow. First time to Andorra. Transfer from Barcelona was a bit long on a coach with school trip but great once you’re there

Pas was perfect for a large group holiday. Accommodation was basic but good value, with brilliant food and a great bar. Good lifts, plenty of slope options for every level in the group and some decent off piste if you didn’t mind Trecking a bit off the beaten track. The apres is next level, probably because booze is so cheap, which doesn’t make it the best resort for families, but we still saw plenty and they seemed to be having a great time. Would definitely recommend for a budget friendly trip, with great ski area.

Although the runs were fairly busy close to the town were lots of runs a bit further afield which made for fantastic boarding trip. The bars on the mountain were perfectly placed for a short drink and lunch break. The apres ski was great with a couple of fun nights in the Irish bars in the town.

Unfortunately whilst we were there the snow was quiete poor and there were only a few runs with snow cannons.
In the pas de le casa valley the conditions were quite poor- they were better in the next valley over but due to lifts being closed this meant skiing a black run to get there.
We enjoyed the resort and bars and restaurants were really good value.

It was a really lovely resort with great accommodation. There was a wide range of runs for all abilities and preferences. Loads of cafes and bars scattered around the resort. Snow was not at its best in april but still good fun.

Really enjoyed a long weekend to Pas de le Casa for a second time visiting the resort. This time we had crazy amounts of snowfall during the day but there’s so much to do in the town if skiing is out of the question. Great restaurant selections and bars. Some good bars on the slopes too if you have good weather. Pas town has a bit of a party vibe so the cheaper accommodation can be a bit rowdy.

Good value for money with cheap drinks and food. Not a massive ski area so more of a party destination than expert long ski days

You get what you pay for which is not bad at all. Snow conditions aren't typically great but there enough snow making facilities. Apres is great, people are friendly, food is fantastic. Ski area is huge as well.

Really good resort for beginner skiers. The last run down into Pas is quite a tough red so just be cautious of that. Not great snow later in the season but the town is great for both the day and night skiing and apres.

First family ski holiday. Could not have gone any better. Excellent ski school for the wife and kids. The resort is lively but not Ibiza lively, we were never awakened at night.

Food choices were brilliant for anyone with kids. Loved the whole experience. 3rd time for me.

Stayed at the Olympic which was clean, comfy and friendly.
