What Skiers Say About Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa

Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from first-timers to advanced riders, with many reviews coming from UK visitors seeking budget-friendly trips. The resort is consistently praised for affordability, extensive interconnected terrain across the Grandvalira area, and a lively après-ski and nightlife scene. Snow quality receives mixed feedback—reliable at higher altitude with effective snow cannons, but prone to ice and slush in warmer periods or late season. The town itself is frequently described as lacking alpine charm, with concrete architecture, though dining and shopping options are plentiful and well-priced. Wind closures on upper lifts can restrict access to the wider ski area, confining riders to lower greens. Transfer times from Barcelona (3-4 hours) are a common complaint.

I have been going to Andorra since I was 4 years old, I’ now 28 and have been every year. I could not recommend Pas De La Casa more. I have been to other ski resorts and there are some good ones out there but Pas never disappoints, great aprés, great people, great events, greatttt skiing and great value for money!

Took my 4vyear old first time skiing to andorra... area was good and lifts good but not too child friendly.. there was no nursery slopes near the bottom lift.. so had to pay for me to get up to nursery areas and magic carpets... most ski areas have free nursery areas.. andorra hasn't.... snow was great and resort area.. but food and drinking was not cheap as supposed to be tax free... I wouldn't go back there again till he was a better skier...

Excellent resort, good choice of runs. Good value for money. Food and drink are very reasonable and the resort offers a lift pass that includes lunch which works out to be very good value, although not everywhere accepts this so good to check before going anywhere for lunch.
Most runs were quiet during my visit except for the main ones that are needed to get back to Pas at the end of the day.
Down side is the long transfer from the airport. But well worth it in my opinion.

Andorra pas de la casa, well what can I say, first and foremost the snow has always been exceptional and never disappoints,I’ve been too this ski resort many off times going as far back as when I was 18yrs old and now 46 so many moons ago.i would go as far too say casa is a mini Ibiza on snow as far as apri ski side is concerned and would highly recommend it too groups wanting entry level into the ski and snowboard seen, and I would say for value for money the snow nightlife and variety off km off slopes for all levels you reallly would struggle too find better for the price. To whoever reads this it’s a honest review and I’ve ski and snowboarded in Austria,a lot off resorts in France,Bulgaria,Switzerland, and Banff so I like too think I can give a good overall review and being sking has ski rocketed in price with people being stretched financially at tough times I think Andorra is very reasonable and still affordable. Not the most luxurious off resorts but try it and you won’t be disappointed.

Pas had a lot of snow in our first two days so was very powdery. Better skiing conditions were in Soldeu and El tartar as lower altitude and the winds were buffered by the trees. Great selection of long tree lined blues and wide reds. Ski schools were great for my absolute beginner daughter at 20 and the advanced red/black group my son was in. Great range of restaurants in Pas but the other villages were more Christmassy. Apres ski fab. Blot in Canillo is great.

Pas, what can I say, excellent as always, great variety of skiing for all abilities, food is great, excellent range of restaurants ranging from your fast food burgers to excellent steak houses. The only downside with pas de la casa is the long transfer, around 3 to 4 hours, but its worth the long transfer

Extraordinary ! Great
Vibes and so good with family or groups of friends. Wonderful transfers from hair airports, fab hotels and food is locally produced and affordable. People were so friendly and kind! Lost our bag on a bus and it was returned to us safely-very honest people and low crime rate. Slopes were not busy and well groomed all the time! Snowed Whilst we were there but they even had the cannons on to ensure decent skiing.

Very large resort where you can explore and take different routes each day to the other side. The difficulties are easier than in at France. Ie. A mid/difficult red in Andorra is a difficult blue in France.

Pas is the resort I grew I skiing in from about 1990 to 2000. I recently went back for nostalgia, and while it remains best suited to intermediate or beginner skiers, it really is fantastic for families or groups wanting a very well priced holiday.

The work and expansion that’s happened on the slopes has grown it massively and it’s a very decent resort with plenty of miles to get under your legs.

Additionally Pas is high and I’ve never had an issue with snow quality. Right from December to April we’ve consistently had decent snow.
