What Skiers Say About Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa

Grandvalira: Pas de la Casa attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from first-timers to advanced riders, with many reviews coming from UK visitors seeking budget-friendly trips. The resort is consistently praised for affordability, extensive interconnected terrain across the Grandvalira area, and a lively après-ski and nightlife scene. Snow quality receives mixed feedback—reliable at higher altitude with effective snow cannons, but prone to ice and slush in warmer periods or late season. The town itself is frequently described as lacking alpine charm, with concrete architecture, though dining and shopping options are plentiful and well-priced. Wind closures on upper lifts can restrict access to the wider ski area, confining riders to lower greens. Transfer times from Barcelona (3-4 hours) are a common complaint.

Great pistes and skiing, very well maintained considering high winds and in need of a natural snow top up. 90% of the area skiable. Great value accommodation and located just 2 mins from the piste. Plenty of shops in town to stock up on supplies all reasonably priced too. Self drive transfer from Barcelona was straightforward. Highly recommend for a long weekend

We stayed in self catered accommodation right next to the slopes & it was amazing. All 4 resorts are connected by lots of trails so lots of options for beginners & advances skiers alike. I will be coming back!

Its a really great resort with a great variety of runs, going back again this year to Soldeu to see parts that I didnt see last time. Cheap drinks is a big plus compared to French Alps.

Good Value for Money. With the correct weather and conditions its like skiing in the alps. Expensive for food on the hills for quality. Good skiing for a range of abilities. Slightly harder for beginner levels.

Great resort that offers affordable skiing. List passes that include lunch are a great option and lots available to choose from. Downside of staying in pas de la casa with beginner friends is skiing down a red to get to the other ski areas.

For a cheap resort you get your moneys worth.A good area for beginners but very few black runs were open and virtually no option for free ride skiing. Definitely better for skiers than boarders. Not many long runs.

Perfect for students and young couples but probably wouldnt recommend for families,It is very cheap compared to other resorts and the accommodation is very affordable, however there is not much option for those looking for luxury,There isnt much of a variety of restaurants to choose from,The slopes are great even towards the end of seasonThere are plenty of lively bars/clubs

Great for big days across the ski area with a large mix of runs which helps with a big group of different abilities. Apres is always good especially when the UK uni's have their social weeks! Great value for money compared to the Alps.

Great vibes, loads of young people, plenty of places to eat, could be cheaper but was as expected. Lovely scenery, number of different slopes to ski on. Everything is fairly close to each other so no hastle with carrying skis.

Great piste options for beginners and experienced. Good ski school. You dont have to walk far to the mountains. We could board down to the lifts. Good shopping and eating places in the town.
