What Skiers Say About Mt Washington Alpine Resort

Mt Washington attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many families and locals from Vancouver Island. Reviewers consistently mention short lift queues, especially midweek, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The terrain offers good variety including tree runs and challenging backside terrain when open, with notable powder days when storms hit. However, snow conditions are frequently described as variable and weather-dependent, with several reviews noting rain, rocks, and heavy coastal snow. Accommodation and food options are limited on-mountain and considered expensive, with minimal village infrastructure.

Mt Washington is an amazing local resort. The weather didn’t cooperate for its usual snowfall accumulation but they did a great job making the best of a poor season

Had a very fun time learning, the instructor was very nice, patient and good at explaining things. A few of the runs where closed, although that was purely so to the weather not being great this year.

Lovely mountain and location unfortunately the weather was not cooperating lately and there was many rocks and some rain but the mountain and there staff has been doing there best with the card nature has dealt this season.

Coastal skiing at its finest
Good mix of different terrain and difficulty
Great park with huge air jumps, medium jumps loads of rails and slide pads with differentiating levels of difficulty
Kids park too with smaller jumps and rails

This is a wholly family friendly resort, accommodation great but can be expensive for example of a family of 5. Food great but again can be expensive for some family. Skiing accommodates all abilities.

It was early season while I attended. Snow pack wasn’t there. Runs were in good shape despite the low volume of snow. Typically the snow conditions are much better. It’s just been a warm winter so far.

Mt Washy is just like Whistler/Blackcomb used to be. It's not full of itself. It doesn't have to be!
So friendly, so accessible, such fun runs for all types of skiers and boarders and just the right amount of amenities.
Ditch the flash and come to Mt Washington you won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff and lots of different runs, the lifts and buildings are dated and food is pricy for the quality. The rental equipment is great though, newer and good quality, and the school staff are lovely. Reasonable pricing for passes, with mid week and package deals.

My experience at the resort was 10/10 ski in ski out chalets, very fun environment, I’ve always wanted to spend a New Year’s Eve there (I heard it’s really fun) a lot of the chalets have hot tubs/saunas. The ski school was amazing, the food at the restaurants were great. And how could you not be happy on a mountain?!

Great medium size mountain for what it is and has a very impressive back side that offers great technical terrain, limited to no slack country however

Great local mountain. Usually short lift lines, friendly vibes, affordable. Weather becoming more unpredictable delayed the opening this year so definitely need to keep that in mind if booking a trip.

Super family friendly with lots of fun events, easy access, and really good beginner zones. When it snows you’re not fighting crowds for nice turns. And if the clouds part the views are pretty nice!

Mountain bike park is decent but could be improved upon by opening other lifts like Whiskey Jack and Sunrise as it’s pretty boring after 2-hours and riding the same 5 routes down.
