Amazing family resort with lots of powder days and tree skiing for every level. Short walk from parking to beginner/ intermediate chair and night skiing for intermediate to advanced.

When the powder gods deliver, they send hard at this coastal gem.
When Apollo is in control, the view from the pristine white up top, through the green hills below to the blue ocean are stunning.
While the weather is variable, I have always had good days on this mountain.

I have been skiing here as a part time instructor this season and It is very family friendly with heaps of terrain for all level, a big area in the back country for advance terrain. Queue lines are short pretty much all the time and the tree runs are awesome, So far have had a good mix of white out days and blue bird days.
The bar is very good value with pints from 7-8 dollars.

super tiny mountain, its good considering the island doesnt get much snow and its the closest one, but it gets crazy busy when the conditions are good and there isnt a ton in the way of food and accommodation

Not a huge resort but generally short lift lines and good snow(usually). Very good and varied x-country trails. Not expensive compared to the larger more famous resorts in BC. No village or shopping. About a half hour drive down the mountain to Courtney, the nearest town. Only a couple of restaurants on the hill. If you go for a longer stay prepare to cook some meals. Most accommodations on site have kitchen facilities. Night skiing on weekends. Good off piste/ back country if you hike a bit and can ski trees. You probably want someone to show you where to go.

For being such a small resort the terrain on this mountain is very diverse and there is something for everyone. The runs are long and provide amazing views of the mountains all around

I have skied at Mt Washington since high school ski school trips...the overall value of the mountain has decreased over the years. Improvements to the newer ski lifts have lea more newbies to the out of bounds or more obscure areas of the ski resort...the road has improved dramatically from the 80's. Ski conditions are always great when the winter storms come through from the Pacific...Mt Washington used to be a great value for Vancouver Island skiers and boarders...now not as much...still overall a slightly less expensive option compared to Whistler Blackcomb. A 20 min Harbour Air flight to Vancouver and 1.5 hr bus ride to Whistler makes these two ski destinations relatively close to each other.

Mount Washington is a family friendly small resort with a fantastic range of runs for all ages and skills. The environment is always positive and the lift lines are never too long, even on weekends. The staff is always friendly and when the snow flies, the deep west coast skiing is unbeatable.
