This is a wholly family friendly resort, accommodation great but can be expensive for example of a family of 5. Food great but again can be expensive for some family. Skiing accommodates all abilities.

Friendly staff and lots of different runs, the lifts and buildings are dated and food is pricy for the quality. The rental equipment is great though, newer and good quality, and the school staff are lovely. Reasonable pricing for passes, with mid week and package deals.

My experience at the resort was 10/10 ski in ski out chalets, very fun environment, I’ve always wanted to spend a New Year’s Eve there (I heard it’s really fun) a lot of the chalets have hot tubs/saunas. The ski school was amazing, the food at the restaurants were great. And how could you not be happy on a mountain?!

Great medium size mountain for what it is and has a very impressive back side that offers great technical terrain, limited to no slack country however

Great local mountain. Usually short lift lines, friendly vibes, affordable. Weather becoming more unpredictable delayed the opening this year so definitely need to keep that in mind if booking a trip.

First day on the mountain this year. Snow was at a low level but the runs were well groomed. Blue bird day at -4.

Super family friendly with lots of fun events, easy access, and really good beginner zones. When it snows you’re not fighting crowds for nice turns. And if the clouds part the views are pretty nice!

Mountain bike park is decent but could be improved upon by opening other lifts like Whiskey Jack and Sunrise as it’s pretty boring after 2-hours and riding the same 5 routes down.

Great mid sized resort, especially for families. Epic powder in the good years (better than I’ve seen in the Rockies)

Real rustic vibe if you rent a cabin in the village. Never very cold. Views of the can from the peak.

Horrible food & kids can only sit in one area of the pub, so not great to mix with people without kids.

I have lived on vancouver island since born and have skiied here since 15. My washington is a great hill which is not crowded during the week but is too busy for me during the weekends. Now that i am retired i got a great seniors week day pass that will fullfill my skiing passion. Almost a local hill as i live 2.5 hours south so not a horrible drive to get there for the day or longer. Things keep getting better up there. Love it

A nice smaller very affordable ski resort. Not very big but enough lifts and a variety of runs. Seldom a long lift line. On site accommodation but no village per se. It's 20 minutes up hill from the town of Courtney which has restaurants and shopping. If you stay on the mountain you'll want to bring groceries and cook. The xcountry trails are extensive, well groomed with a variety of skill levels and fantastic views across the Salish Sea to the mountains on the mainland coast
This place is value for money with variety for the whole family, from the covered magic carpet lift for kids and beginners to the tube park and double black runs ( not always open). Night skiing on weekends too. Back country through the trees is an option but I would only try that with someone who knows where they're going. Day tickets run about 30% of a Whistler Mountain ticket.
Some winters they get in excess of 3 meters of snow but conditions are variable can be hit or miss.
All around, good fun and value for money.

When the powder gods deliver, they send hard at this coastal gem.
When Apollo is in control, the view from the pristine white up top, through the green hills below to the blue ocean are stunning.
While the weather is variable, I have always had good days on this mountain.
