What Skiers Say About Mt Washington Alpine Resort

Mt Washington attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many families and locals from Vancouver Island. Reviewers consistently mention short lift queues, especially midweek, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The terrain offers good variety including tree runs and challenging backside terrain when open, with notable powder days when storms hit. However, snow conditions are frequently described as variable and weather-dependent, with several reviews noting rain, rocks, and heavy coastal snow. Accommodation and food options are limited on-mountain and considered expensive, with minimal village infrastructure.

The terrain and snow conditions are typical of a BC Coastal resort. There is a nice variety of Blue and Green runs around 4 lifts. There are some nice Black runs accessible from a separate chair. These runs are good in good snow or powder conditions.

I am a day skier. I like to cruise on the groomers.

There are a couple of choices for food in the day lodge.

There is a good network of Nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails. A tube park is also available.

I grew up skiing here every winter - a great resort and they've done wonders to it over the last few years.
