What Skiers Say About Apex Mountain

Apex Mountain is a small resort near Penticton that attracts mainly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders. Reviewers consistently mention minimal lift queues, steep terrain with challenging runs, and high-quality light powder snow. The resort has only two main chairlifts and a compact village with limited dining and accommodation options. Many users describe it as quiet and local-focused, with friendly staff and a relaxed community atmosphere. Several reviews note the triple chairlift is slow, and a few mention the mountain is not ideal for beginners due to the prevalence of steep terrain.

Great friendly mountain. Terrain options have something for everyone. If you avoid December 25-January 1st lift lines are minimal. The quad chair is efficient enough but the triple chair is slow. The Edge Bistro has great eats and great staff as does the Gunbarrel for Apres Ski. Many nights have live music. The skating loop through the trees is magical but its a real shame they got rid of the ice rick and replaced it with an inferior one in an inferior location. The village doesnt have a ton going on like bigger hills might but does have most of what youd need at the general store or ski shop. Safe family mountain.

Apex is a hidden gem! Great groomers and a lot of steeps. Very little on hill accommodations. Triple chair in need of an upgrade. Snow quality is fantastic.

Apex is a great locals spot. The village offers few amenities but has most things needed to make for a good weekend experience. Not too many people on the same runs even on weekends which is always nice.

I enjoyed the variety of varied terrain and as a solo skier felt safe the entire time. Lifts were well managed. The ski in and ski out was nice! The quality of the snow was incredible as well. This is an underrated mountain and I will definitely come back! There is also lots to do for families - my non skier friends did the skating loop and loved it.

This was such a fun and chill ski hill. Beautiful views and not busy at all compared to more popular resorts.

The lift lines are very small. You can ski a run and go direcrly back on the lift. If there is a line it clears right away. Has a good selection of runs l. Terrain for all abilities. Apex is a small mountain hidden gem. Has great light champagne powder. The runs are not supper long. But if your going hard you don't get the leg burn right away.

New ownership over the past few years has turned a great community oriented hill into a place that no longer caters to the community it is in and is only focused on money coming from out of town guests. Us locals are being forgotten by Apex.

Apex Mountain Resort is somewhere I'd go back every year. From the prestine groomed runs to the steep and deep tree runs, it has all kinds off terrain for everybody. Accommodations close to the hill for easy access and enjoying the mountain all day. This mountain has a steepness to it that is daunting, you take yourself off the Main runs you can find some super cool double black runs with great natural features. Love this mountain.

Great resort I've been there once and it was a great experience, overall I would return. In addition though I would love for there to be more options for food but that's about it

Apex has some good terrain, but the infrastructure is way too outdated. Lifts very basic and slow.

The Mountain is pretty difficult with a lot of expert terrain. The Lifts are really efficient and you can get a lot of laps in! The Lift lines are pretty short!

Coming here was super fun. Blue Bird day watch tone of fresh pow. Didn't a whole day here with my crew and had so so much fun. I really got to experience the whole mountain hinting for pow and every run was a banger. My favourite part was hiking that last little bit to the top and riding the whole mountain down to the parking lot.

Apex is not a beginner Mountain so to speak. If you like it steep then you are going to have fun. Line ups are minimal for the most part. One of the last old school adventures without the commercialized bull. Please dont tell anyone.lol

Apex is sweet little hill 45 min drive away from penticton in the okanogan, beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Has 2 chairs magic carpet for an awesome ski school, and a tee bar. The terrian park is deecent great for beginners. Lots of options from small to semi large features. Great people and better food. The ski hill has many runs, forms greens to blacks. Be careful of exposed rock early on in the season before the new year. This hill has everything for anybody.

A hidden gem that delivers. Id call it like a small Revelstoke if you know where to go. Lifts are almost always quiet and there is some fun slackcountry as well.
