Where I would say I really cut my teeth as a snowboarder! I LOVE Stevens Pass, so much so my friends make fun of me for it. Is it the biggest mountain? No. Does it have the best of any one category? No not really. But for a resort of its size and scope it really has much more than you could ever expect! Some seriously good terrain and very well managed! A lot of very talented snowboarders come out of Stevens pass for a reason. The terrain and the culture at Stevens pass really push you to progress and have fun while doing it. It makes me sad I never hit Alpental because as far as I can tell its the same group of people and they all rave about Alpental! But Ive gotta say, the best skiing and snowboarding Ive seen in person has been in the PNW and mostly at Stevens Pass. If youre comfortable going off trail then Stevens pass will be heaven for you! I have nothing but love for that mountain! In terms of visiting, I always drove in from Seattle and either day tripped or car camped. If youre coming from further afield the best way to go is to stay in Leavenworth. Ive never actually been there myself but from what I hear thats the place to stay and hang out. Unless you have an RV and stay in the RV lot! Lots of good people in the RV lot!

Stevens is the quintessential local resort, the vibes are great with a nice mix of groomers and moguls. The tree runs are amazing and this year the snow has been great.

Stevens Pass is awesome! Groomers are good, variety of terrain means theres something for everyone, side and backcountry runs are accessible but hidden enough to keep Seattlites out. Lodging is nonexistent, you have to stay either in Skykomish or Leavenworth, both roughly 45 minutes west and east respectively. Food is food, pricey for what it is. Beer is gonna run you a tenner, which is unfortunate. Its more worthwhile to snag a four pack of tall boys for $8 on your way up and drink it on the chairlift. Runs arent short, lifts are fast enough, and the lines arent terrible once the backside has opened up. Weekends get crowded and tracked out quick. Easy to get 20+ runs in a day, especially after they open up for night skiing.

Stevens Pass is a really great mountain for Washingtonians that have outgrown snoqualmie and are looking for more of a challenge. It lacks the big mountain terrain that crystal has with King and south back, and has few expert only lifts which can lead to some crowded lines for those that are used to finding a more advanced part of the mountain to avoid waiting too long. The ski school here however is phenomenal and Stevens is an excellent place to learn and progress, especially from intermediate to advanced skiing and riding.

Great resort that's accessible from downtown seattle, well groomed. Can get pretty busy on weekends.

This resort is definitely geared towards someone with experience. Especially night skiing! This is the only resort Ive ever encountered a severe injury and ended up with a gnarly gash on my head and my cousin received a concussion! We were night skiing and got separated. I lost my skis and went over a rocky edge when he disappeared from my sight. It was probably one of the most terrifying experiences Ive ever had skiing. This happened many years ago now and I wasnt nearly as advanced as I am now but I caution anyone who isnt experienced from going in on the runs alone or at all at night unless accompanied by others. The lifts are far faster then any others Ive been on and its efficient enough, but my goodness the cost has become outrageous!!!

Stevens pass resort is full every year they accommodate their customers with genuine care . Their lifts are the just the right speed when reaching your destination they keep their parking lots nice so you don't have to fight to get in and out they are great about giving updates on what the skiing conditions are .People can hardly wait to be there when it opens . The skiing is great and the scenery is out of this world. Levenworth is about 20 miles away that has lots of little shops to visit and a awesome candy store with loads of goodies so I'd say it's worth the trip to go to both places you won't be disappointed.

Stevens Pass is a great casual ski resort for people in the Seattle Area. Lots of varied terrain and easy to get to without breaking the bank. While there are not many amenities, the varied terrain more than makes up for it. Great for both beginners and experts as there is a varied frontside and more challenging backside.
