Great mountain that offers a cozy feel. Over 100 trails and is a very popular spot for locals and for those from out of town. Can be on the pricey side in regards to lodging and food but is cute area and great to teach first time skiers.

Stowe is a place that used to be great but then vail ownership ruined it. Snowmaking is reduced. Grooming is poor. Patrol seems to barely care to open anything but a blue or green slope. And beer and food prices are astronomical.

Great place yo gain more experience. Long rides, lift are very easy to mount, just design more for kids, this applies more if your tall.

Awesome mountain but food and drink prices are way too expensive. Love the village though. Beautiful town too.

Drove down during the weekday from Montreal. Significantly quieter, and free parking during the weekdays! First day there were only ~20 trails open, half were groomed. Then it snowed 5cm overnight and they groomed a bit more and ~30 runs were open. Ive got a season pass, but everything else at the mountain tends to be expensive. But the staff are incredibly helpful especially with advice on gear adjustments!

Stowe is the best ski resort in Vermont in my opinion, especially for skiing in the woods. The regulars know how to ski hard, if gas some great steep terrain for the East, and its doesnt get as many out of control skiers as Killington. The biggest downside is the lift lines and having to pay to park.

My family had changed over to skiing at Stowe Mountain a few years ago and to this day it provides the best time for family and friends. For the prime time to be on the mountains the bus system is extremely swift and provides a short wait to get to the mountain wether youre at a bus stop or waiting on the side of the road. I plan to ski here as much as I can.

Stowe is probably my favorite mountain on the east coast. That mountain has the most to offer as far as east coast goes. Good groomers, great tree trails and back country.

As someone who grew up skiing in Utah, I was skeptical about going to ski at Stowe while living in NYC. And while the snow in VT certainly isnt the powder of the west, I was pleasantly surprised at how much snow there was and how well the runs are maintained at Stowe. The lift lines were short, and even the gondola line, which took you to the top very quickly (in a seated, covered car I might add) wasnt too bad we only waited 10 minutes on a Saturday on Presidents Day weekend. It seems like there are a lot of food options around the resort (though we stuck with drinks only), and the ski-in church was a fun, quirky landmark that Ive never seen at any of the ski resorts Ive been to. Id visit Stowe again to ski if Im back in the Northeast!
