Great mountain with several lifts that can get you up the mountain quickly. Mountain facilities on Mansfield side are old but very clean. The Spruce side is nothing shy of world class and as good as you will see in the industry. It does cost a slot to ski and ride at Stowe and all the ancillary things but for the experience you get it is worth the price.

I ski 30 days a year Stowe is good at snow making and grooming even if the natural conditions are poor.

Just ski moved to Burlington Vermont from Colorado so Im a little jaded when it comes to ski resorts, but in saying that I give Stowe a solid 4 stars for an East Coast resort. Its got everything ya want, enclosed gondola, high speed quads, some not so high speed lifts for that New England feel, its everything right about the east coast from the resorts down to the quaint ski town. Is it the steep with insane trees, no that would be Mad River Glen. Does it have the deepest powder, no that would be Jay. However unlike those other two Stowe and has more than enough powder and manmade snow with great coverage, terrains for Experts to beginners and a great instructional programme. Theres also the convenience factor being right outside Burlington VT. Like many other Vail owned resorts you find Stowe a convenient drive from an airport. In summery; its all the fun of Killington without New Yorkers/Bostonians to ruin the chill New England vibe. Super close to an international Airport, ample lodging ranging from New England Bed and Breakfasts to resort hotels and motels, plenty of food options, and lastly lets not forget Stowe is part of the Epic Pass Making Stowe the most affordable of the big east coast resorts. Im going to add a Little addendum for the Disabled Community: If you are a disabled skier/snowboarder or ride a sit down Stowe is where its at. The resort is extremely accommodating to disabled folks like us. Im a below knee amount and I find that unlike many of the other resorts Stowe is ADA compliant, the lift operators and staff are extremely helpful and because its part of the Epic Pass its the most affordable option for disabled riders and they have specially trained coaches instructors who focus is on making your day on the mountain safe and memorable. I cant recommend Stowe enough for those who are looking for a great mountain thats accommodating to our individualised needs. Stratton Vt is a large southern Vt ski area with lots of terrain to explore. Its convenience to the highway and metropolitan areas draws a good crowd and packed slopes. Great groomers and runs give you everything you need to rock and roll in southern Vermont!

Stowe is very nice ski resort. Village is beautiful, skiing amazing. Food choices are great and not busy except most popular weekends. I would highly recommend .

Arrive early and get the early morning sun and fresh powder and groomed trails. Eat lunch early and ski during the noon hour when everyone goes in for lunch. Finish at 2:45pm and apres on hill unitl 3:45pm. Leave before the one way traffic out of the resort builds up. Stop on down the road at Piecasso for another Apres ski event and head back to your place for rest and relaxation go to be early........Get up and do it again the next day!

Stowe is a large mountain with a relative abundance of natural snow for the northeast. Under the Fourunner Quad there is a bunch of challenging terrain, with many steep mogul fields. There is also a lot for beginners on the far left and right of the mountain (under the gondola and at the 6 person lift). The gondola services fun and fast blues with a great mogul field in Chin Clip, as well as a great trees section. Since the mountain is big it does not feel crowded and is very enjoyable to ski at all day.

Perhaps the best mountain in VT and maybe the East Coast. Sure a lot of people will bash it for being an Epic(Vail) property and complain about it being too commercial and these are fair criticisms, but those flaws also bring some unmatched amenities and service. Yes, its expensive if you walk up to buy a weekend lift ticket day-ofbut thats true EVERYWHERE. Its really f-ing expensive to run a ski resort!!! But Id argue the bang for your buck here is equal if not better than anywhere else! Lift line always run reasonably, there is plenty of terrain for everyone. And if youre some skiing snob elitist who demands 90% black diamonds, I promise you, so of the blue runs at Stowe will command your full attention. So perhaps drop the act and paper-thin idealism, and just enjoy a great day of skiing at a great mountain.

Easy one of the best mountains in the world, its got everything you could wish, the only downside is that its pricey but overall cant say one bad thing about the mountain. The nice view from the top, beautiful pine trees covered with the snow. Everyone should ski this mountain at least once in their life!
