What Skiers Say About Killington Resort

Killington attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers noting it as one of the largest and best resorts on the East Coast. The most consistent praise centres on terrain variety, excellent snowmaking, long season duration, and well-maintained groomers. Multiple users highlight the resort's size and ability to spread crowds across seven peaks, though weekends and holidays see significant congestion and lift queues. Reviewers frequently mention steep terrain even on beginner runs, making it less suitable for true novices. Common complaints include high prices for food, lift tickets, and lodging, alongside recurring lift breakdowns and excessive snowmobile traffic damaging trail conditions.

My favorite resort on the East. Massive terrain and great lift infrastructure, there's truly something for everyone. They have an incredible snowmaking system so if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate you're still skiing on quality snow. It can get a bit busy on holidays but if you know the mountain you know how to avoid the crowds. Awesome dining options like the Peak Lodge and the Killington Grand is one of the best ski resort hotels I've ever stayed at. The views from the pool are spectacular.

I skied 100 days this year so far. Killington is so diverse and committed to a great experience that it was all I needed this season. I was never bored, nor had a bad day. A new Lodge, good food options, and helpful staff add to the experience. So many lifts that even on weekends I was never in line more than 7 minutes. You will not be disappointed here.

For the east coast, its hard to beat Killington. First open, last closed, they recover better after bad weather. Snowmaking during storms and thru mid March. Lots of terrain of all levels and groomers are great as well as mogul runs. Something for everyone all season.

Killington is a great mountain with lots of very terrain but can be busy on key weekends and its better when you know the mountain well because it can be confusing due to its multiple peaks and multiple lodges

Fun place for north east skiing! Trails are groomed and great cruisers. Steeps are steep! Ovation will take your breath away!! Lifts need upgrade. Skyeship gondola is old. Needles eye is old and it broke down. Wobbly Barn is a great place to eat!! Dominicks pizza is awesome!!! Best skiing is on Bear mountain peak!

We visited killington this past weekend during the snow storm and it was an experience of a lifetime!

As a skier thats used to only groomed runs European resorts, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of powder on the slopes this past weekend. Due to the abundant powder, the resort decided that most of the runs would be left ungroomed for the day and I had the opportunity to experience powder skiing which was unlike anything else

I must admit to only trying out the green and blue runs - which turned out to be fairly challenging at times with steep terrain up to 29 degrees! That coupled with the ungroomed unofficial moguls gave my legs a proper, well deserved workout!

The food at the lodges were decent but the price of beer was extortionate although that did not stop us from enjoying one! There were plenty of room in the lodges for everyone to rest during lunch hour

Rentals were available in town for reasonable prices. We arrived near the end of season and most of the shops were having clearance sale so we managed to snag up new equipment for 40% off in most places!

The only complaint I had was the prices of the ski passes. Even with a friends and family discount code from my partner, the prices were still $113 for weekday and $125 over the weekend which is more than double what we pay in European resorts!

Overall not quite what I expected of spring skiing - definitely exceeded my expectation! Would love to try out other North American resorts in the future!

Killington is one of the best resorts in New England, good snow quality, versatile terrain for all types of skiers, but in my opinion not the best for beginners, also pricey. Could be expensive for a whole family.

Have been bringing the family to Killington for 10 years. Love the variety of slopes and the challenging terrain. Great food options on the mountain as well. Have often been here during school vacations and the mountain handles a big crowd very well.

An amazing resort, great terrain and the best Ski/snowboard school anywhere.
Incredible tree runs, moguls are awesome and many trails are left ungroomed.
Also the longest season in the east.

It is a great resort. Has a great amount of terrain and a good amount of lifts. It is also big enough there are still parts where it can be more relaxed and less crowded.

Killington is awesome! Theres so many options and the snow is great. I love that its open early in the season and when it gets crowded you can still find areas away from big lines. Also the food is so good, pricey as expected but really good!

Killington is a great family resort to go and have fun at. Theres plenty of skiing to be had for advanced as well. The issue is there isnt many powder days and there isnt super difficult terrain. This is made up for by the fantastic terrain parks and impressive lift infrastructure, spreading across 7 peaks and countless acres. Though it doesnt compare to our west skiing, Killington is the place to be on the east coast. They have great snow blowing and mountain operations so that each day can be enjoyable. Once again, the only issue is the lack of natural snow and the not so advanced terrain.

My two major gripes are the overcrowding that comes from overselling passes and how overpriced most things are at the resort (were talking $20 burgers here). Otherwise, huge mountain with incredible views, virtually any terrain one may want to see, and overall theres a reason I skipped more than a few classes in high school to go skiing there.
