What Skiers Say About Killington Resort

Killington attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers noting it as one of the largest and best resorts on the East Coast. The most consistent praise centres on terrain variety, excellent snowmaking, long season duration, and well-maintained groomers. Multiple users highlight the resort's size and ability to spread crowds across seven peaks, though weekends and holidays see significant congestion and lift queues. Reviewers frequently mention steep terrain even on beginner runs, making it less suitable for true novices. Common complaints include high prices for food, lift tickets, and lodging, alongside recurring lift breakdowns and excessive snowmobile traffic damaging trail conditions.

Amazing conditions, lifts are fast. Lodge staff is friendly and the food was quite good. Lots of options to eat and get out of the cold. Best resort in the East.

Killington lifts suck. Break down all the time!! Way too much snowmobile traffic leaving ruts everywhere!!!! Lodges are old the new K-1 is nice but its crowded! Really rude snowboarders and even skiers! No one watches them and they fly! Out of control!

Such a great resort with lots of runs for different experience levels. Devils Fiddle was open and was by far my favorite run. Good food as well but a bit pricey which is to be expected at a large ski resort.

This was my second year skiing at Killington and overall I had an amazing time! Although I did fall victim to some ice a few times thats prolly more on it being the east coast than the resort itself. My fav trail was this blue called Vagabond

Walking up early is a must since the hills get pretty busy. By the end of the day the bottom of the runs are pretty terrible. The level of difficulty and variety is pretty good. I've been three times I had a good experience every time

Ive been to Killington 3 times now, it is a great resort for the East Coast, one of the best. They have a bit of everything that makes it great but it can get really busy, especially on weekends, with long lift lines and really busy trails that can ice over fast.

Killington was an amazing place to ski! My family enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at three out of the six peaks the resort had to offer. The runs are long and there are many challenging hills at every turn.My only critique was that Killington does not have a ski village, per se. Restaurants and shops are stretched across a 1.5 mile road, and you have to drive to each to get anywhere. I have heard, though, that Killingtons new owners will build a ski village at some point. My family and I will return in the future.

This is my home mountain. It covers seven different mountains so there is almost always something good to ski for all levels and weather conditions. Efficient lifts means short lines except on a few holidays, and even those days are better than most areas. Food is not cheap, but very good, especially at the peak and K1 Lodge. Easy to get to, great expert terrain. Killington Staff always put the customer first, and nothing compares on the East Coast

Love this east coast resort. Everything you need for a weekend of fun. Spread out enough to explore different parts of the mountain. Love the new lodge as well but wish the town had better/more restaurants (especially in the not-bar food category). Love the ramen spot in town though!

It feels like a big mountain. Theres lots of variety of terrain and options to go to a different peak and get different conditions and terrain as the day progresses.
Fun groomers as well as trees. Decent moguls, but can get skied out quickly as Eastern moguls do.
Nice food options and bars if you have enough energy.

Killington is the best skiing on the east coast. The season lasts long and there is varied terrain for everyone. I highly recommend exploring the mountain and finding new slopes. Whether you love groomers, powder in the trees, or steep bump runs, Killington has the slope for you.

We love Killington!!!! Great snowmaking and plenty of trails from steep to cruising!!! There is one problem with Killington and its the lift system. Seems like everyday at least one lift goes down. Apres ski is great with a new lodge at the base area and access road has tons of options for food and drink.

I skied Killington (Killi if you're local) for quite a few years and really found my groove there. It's a great resort with plenty of terrain, lots of lodges, good food on/off hill, and the skiing just can't be talked about enough! On a pow day you'll have some of the best snow of your life, on cold bitter days you'll have a good dusting over ice haha, but as long as you can find the snow you'll be alright. The blacks are steep and quick, the traverses are well planned out, and the trees somehow always have the perfect distance between them to go through smoothly. Just a terrific hill overall.

Killington is a larger mountain for the east coast. It has great trails for intermediate to expert skiers and riders. It isnt the most beginner friendly mountain, I went on a day with a ton of beginners and had to pick up and tow multiple people who got stuck on trails they werent ready for. The cafeteria prices are a little absurd but other mountains have charged the same for much worse food. Overall its a great mountain for somewhat able enthusiasts who want a wide selection of trails.
