What Skiers Say About Park City

Park City attracts skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, from beginners to experts, with reviewers consistently noting the vast skiable terrain across both Park City and Canyons sides. Many users mention excellent grooming, well-maintained parks, and efficient lift infrastructure, though several reviews reference poor snow conditions during low-snowfall seasons and the impact of ski patrol strikes limiting terrain access. Advanced and expert riders appreciate the tree runs, powder bowls, and technical terrain, while beginners find ample green runs and quality ski school instruction. Common complaints centre on high prices for lift tickets and food, crowded lift lines during peak periods, and Vail's management decisions affecting staffing and operations.

Park city can be a bit of a tourist trap. However, the resort is big enough that there is plenty of room for everyone! It gets a little less snow than SnowBird, Brighton, Solitude, and Alta, but it isnt enough to make a noticeable difference.

The bunny hills are super long and are more than sufficient for any first time skiers/snowboarders to get their feet underneath them but still have plenty of fun!

There are so many slopes that despite going for the past 3 years, I STILL havent hit all of the greens, blues, or red runs!

Due to it being a touristy place, there is plenty of places to eat, hang out, or take a break!

There's a reason why they hosted the Olympics, and are slated to do it again! Plenty of world class snow. Buy an Epic Pass in advance, lift tickets on site can be pricy. Not far from SLC. Plenty to do on and off resort. Save some money and stay near SLC or Provo, staying near the resort cost 5-10x as much and it is really only about 30-35 minutes from SLC/Provo.

Park City is a great resort, and the price of the Epic Pass makes it super affordable. There are enough slopes for all riders; just try not to stick to the main ones where it tends to get more crowded. There are slopes for all skill levels and plenty of food options within the resort. One of my favorite runs is Upper Boa. But don't spend the whole day on just one run. I recommend taking the route from red pine lodge use snow dancer and then chicane to go to Tombstone and following the maps to get to Miners Camp. That restaurant is great, and the route is super fun.

I have skied at Park City since I started skiing at the age of 13, 1965. They have every type of terrain you can wish for, and very long ski runs! We used to go up early in the morning to walk down the runs where there was a race that day to air-ate the snow and they gave us an all day free pass! Of course the rates were much less back then, you could ski all day for five bucks! Set in a beautiful canyon, Park City is a picturesque mountain town full of charm! Great hotels and restaurants with a rich history including a silver mine tour and some awesome mountain bike trails! I think Park City has everything you could desire for an all around ski resort!

I learned how to ski at park city at the ripe age of 10 so it is very near and dear to my heart. Park City is one of the best resorts in the country with its groomed runs, parks, tree runs, powder, and also how big the resort is! The Canyons side of park city is just as good! If youve never skied park city then you are missing out!

Park City is BIG! 3 days minimum to try aski it all.; any type of terrain you could want is there. A family friendly mountain with lots of beginner friendly terrain and plenty of steeps for the aspiring pros. Base areas can get congested but once on the mountain it is easy to find minimal lines to ride your choice of terrain. On mountain dining is typical of resort pricing$$$ but food is good. Morning donuts at cloud dine area hidden treat. Ski school is first class for all levels.

I have been twice to park city. One in February and one in January, both in different years. I believe it is an amazing mountain, including canyons. It has a great variety of runs of varying difficulties. The town is great, has great restaurant options, bars and discos. There are many places to stay for various different budgets. My one single critique is that manny blues have moguls. As an advanced skier this was not a problem for me. However, my mother who does not enjoy moguls did have trouble finding runs she would enjoy. She had to mostly stick to greens or a few blue runs.

Another Vail resort which is expensive, overcrowded with long lift lines. Really big with like 44 lifts which don't always run. Paid parking only on the Park City side, free parking on the Canyons side.

This was my home resort for 10 years. Canyons and park city are joined together by a gondola until 3pm and if you get stranded on the wrong side there is a free bus back. Canyons in Mt favorite with lots of fun runs through tunnels, amongst big mansions and beautiful terrain. Vail sadly have mismanaged this awesome resort and after 4 years of sheer pain, I handed in my epic pass and paid 50% more to try ikon. Vail are too greedy. Every year in December and January one third of Canyons is closed despite plenty of snow because they don't hire enough staff. Now at park city they have done away with the free parking. You can park for free in town and get the bus. Overselling of the epic pass has meant very crowded lift lines. Great place to see moose up close. The most I have seen is 5 in one day. Good beginners slope for snowboarding at canyons. Lots more terrain to enjoy. Good for a week of skiing. Expensive food.

As a beginner skier have some good green and blue runs, seems to be good if you are more advanced too.

Largest resort in the country! Its a fun place to ski, though very expensive. Ski school is great, lifts do break down constantly though Im not sure what the deal is with that.

With all of the snow, the experience at Park City was amazing. It is nice that you can drive right up to it without having to go up the canyon and potentially getting your car stuck in snow. The food is great and everything is really well groomed with a lot of options for beginner to advanced to have a lot of fun.

This resort was a blast. The park was on of the best that I have been to in a while and I couldnt get myself off of it, but when I did i was pleasantly surprised. The groomers were really fun and not too crowded. I can tell that this is going to be a great place to ski when there is more snow to open everything. Lot of amenities to keep the resort moving swiftly. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Park city has a lot of variety with there park and was a really fun experience. There hasnt been enough snow to really see how good the rest of the place will be but from what I see they have a great staff and are working really hard to get everything up and running.
