What Skiers Say About Park City

Park City attracts skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, from beginners to experts, with reviewers consistently noting the vast skiable terrain across both Park City and Canyons sides. Many users mention excellent grooming, well-maintained parks, and efficient lift infrastructure, though several reviews reference poor snow conditions during low-snowfall seasons and the impact of ski patrol strikes limiting terrain access. Advanced and expert riders appreciate the tree runs, powder bowls, and technical terrain, while beginners find ample green runs and quality ski school instruction. Common complaints centre on high prices for lift tickets and food, crowded lift lines during peak periods, and Vail's management decisions affecting staffing and operations.

Lift tickets were about $275 for 3 days. You would get access to both Park City and the Canyons, both were connected by a gondola. The Canyons were beautiful and had a lot of great runs that were great for more beginner and intermediate level riders; the biggest problem was that they didnt have a lot of the higher peek lifts operating because the Ski Patrol was on strike and they were not able to open and run them. This meant a lot the blacks and double blacks werent open too.

Park City is our favorite "do it all" resort and ski vacation spot.
We've brought our school age kids for 4-5 days of skiing with mixed terrain that had the kids begging for more

We've skied with friends on greens/ blues for days.. and on fresh powder days with up to a foot of new snow.

Our more adventurous friends hit the steep black diamonds and tree runs on Jupiter.

The downtown shopping, food and bars are plentiful as well. You can't go wrong... and it's highly recommended

Got an Epic pass this year and have thoroughly enjoyed skiing at Park City Mountain. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lifts are typically well managed and swift. The groomed trails, though a bit icy early in the season, are a lot of fun.

Still early in the season, so the limited number of open runs causes extra crowding, I'm sure that will become less of an issue later on.

Ive been going to Park City for about 4 seasons now and I think I can say that its the best that Utah offers right now. There are smaller resorts like Brighton, Solitude, and Snowbird but theyre all just way too small compared to Park City personally. I was at Brighton for a season and I got a little bored towards the end because I knew almost every route. As for Park City, Ive probably on skid 75% after 4 years. If youre a park rat, Park City is great for that and if you like off-piste terrain, you could do a little 10 minute hike off of 9990 and have some of the best snow of your life. I will say that Park City is pretty pricey (thx vail), but is definitely worth it if you can comfortably afford it. One thing to note is that the culture there is pretty meh because Park City is the top tourist destination for Utah so if you want more local vibes, I say Brighton is the best for that.

I started initially boarding at Brighton and was just never satisfied of what Brighton had to offer when the student pass for park city came up on my feed, me and my cousin decided to invest in a pass and ever since we made that purchase weve been going ever since. Park city is a gigantic mountain with a variety of features that are friendly to all levels of boarding or skiing, from parks to double blacks park city has an stunning view and a deep history within the area. You always find food and entertainment there and never get bored because with my 2 years of boarding park city I still have yet to explore the entire mountain unlike Brighton for example. Compared to the 4 lifts at Brighton there are 41 at park city keeping you on your toes and excited for a new and creative run! By far the best skiing and boarding Ive had there and cant wait to go again!

I like this resort a lot. I stayed in canyons village but i still ski park city and canyons. Their chairlift some are old and a lot of them are super slow, lifties are friendly tho. When i visited it was super hot so no powder. But went to the top and skied some pretty amazing runs with a lot of moguls. Food in the mountain is great quality but a little expensive.

Park city is a great place to go skiing/snowboarding for all levels with plenty of runs on both park city and canyons side with a gondola that connects the sides. in the back mountain on canyons side is normally not as busy as park city and the ski lifts run a bit faster but the park city side has a two great terrain parks where the lines dont take long. Depends on the year but there is normally not much powder except for end of December and January (canyons side has better powder runs for intermediate skiers/snowboarders, while park city side if open has a great run called Jupiter in the back Mountain) canyons side is more family friendly but both sides have options for beginner skiers/snowboarders with good group lessons for both. The food is good but expensive, both sides do make lodging and eating very convenient. For the most part the passes available are expensive but i think its worth it for how many times I go and how long I stay on the Mountain. Good man made snow and the tree runs are generally very good for skilled skiers. Mogul runs are 50/50 sometimes icy but when they arent they are very enjoyable/challenging run to go down.

Canyons village is a great place for backcountry skiing/boarding. You can get lost for hours and hit fresh snow, all season.

Park City side is great for the park culture and chill out slopes. Backcountry is slightly less saturated, rather than the canyons side.

Great overall place to be for all varieties of different terrain, places to eat and activities along or near the resorts.

An incredible high budget ski resort. High quality runs and lifts. Lift prices are spendy as well as season passes but are well worth it. Long lift lines are often seen. Incredible snow fall and amazing powder bowls!

Big name that brings a big cost. For the rich this resort offers a great get away in a so called ski town. However for the riders that want more than just two runs and a beer this resort is way overrated. One of the largest resorts in the world translates into it taking hours to get anywhere interesting. By the time you take four lifts, some traversing avoiding privileged skiers taking up the entire run which get upset if you pass them and skate your way to the steep terrainyou find it not open because it hasnt actually snowed in weeks or they haven't paid their lifties and patrollers.
Time to turn around and make your way back across the mountain to your vehicle which had to be parked outside the city because its $20 instead of $50.
$300 well spent.
Worth a trip to see for yourself if you have an epic pass, at least to say you skied there.

Great resort no lines driving up the canyon would recommend if you love easy to expert runs. You can access park city side to canyons side.
