Really nice as a skier as its only skiing and no boarders. Great groomer runs and there is a lot of nice long blues/greens so its a great mountain for beginners. Also has some nice tree runs as well as out of area cut throughs.

Went to DV in December 2024 and was rewarded with over 25 inches of snow over 4 days. The mountain was in great shape by the end and there was more terrain open daily. Great groomers, although the beginner runs definitely were crowded. The bowls around the Empire chairlift were fabulous. Happily skied there all day and then tucked into the great accommodations right on the mountain. Really enjoyed this trip and will definitely go back!

Deer valley is for the rich. There's a montage mid mountain. Ski lessons are great quality but expect to pay a pretty penny. They have pretty good mountain guides. You can learn great skiing technique from these free tour guides just by following them.Resort is small, doesn't get a lot of snow. You go here for the apres ski. The champagne. The shopping in town. The resort building although we're grand at one point are old and tired and need a face-lift.

One of the most upscale and well kept resorts I have ever been to. The staff are friendly and the dining options are much more high-end than your average ski lodge fare.

Deer valley is a skier only luxury resort. Best groomed runs in the United States in my opinion. Off piste skiing options are fewer but can be very good with the right snow conditions. Prices very high but services are excellent. A splurge but worth it.

Great skiing when they actually have snow. Have been known to open runs way too early in the season just to be able to get more people on the mountain. Food and drinks are way too expensive.

Deer valley resort is a very nice ski area! No snowboarding, only skiing. They have tissues for everyone at all ski lifts. The lodges are clean and are pretty fancy. If you have the Ikon pass, you get 7 days here. If you were to go off the ikon pass, it is a little pricy. They food isn't as expensive as you'd think. The runs are nice and wide. If you know where to go, you can find endless powder just for you and your friends

I have skied Jackson Hole, Alta, Mammoth, Aspen, and many more throughout the western US. Deer Valley is at or very near the top. It has terrain for literally every skill level. Want to hike to a higher more challenging peak? They have that. Want to rip wide open groomers? They have that. Trees, moguls, steeps, it is all there. They even have a time trial set up to see how fast you can ski and to add onto this the Elk Chili at the lodge is fantastic. My only critique would be having more options for a cheaper stay in Park City nearby. This isnt too big of a hurdle though because Salt Lake City is a short 45mins away.

Fabulous groomed pistes. Everything works like clockwork - which it should when you're skiing with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Kardashians. Fabulous alpine style restaurants on the slopes. Best loos ever in the Stein Erikcsen Lodge and great for celeb spotting. Some interesting slopes off towards the border with Park City. Otherwise stylish cruising pistes to show off your Armani ski gear. It's on the IKON pass.
