Deer Valley is a fantastic ski resort for all skiers but I particularly like it for its advanced terrain. While there is more advanced terrain at nearby Utah resorts, Deer Valleys doesnt get tracked out as quickly, making it a great resort to learn to freeride. Food is fantastic (try the chili!). And customer service is above and beyond. For instance, complimentary shuttles, boot/glove dryers in the lodges, mountain hosts to help with directions, etc.

First time visiting DV this past season. Took the free expert resort tour. Found excellent ski options all over the resort. My favorite area was tree skiing in the X-files!

Deer Valley is an all-around curated experience. The staff is so welcoming and efficient! There is sooo much mountain to explore and something for every type/level of skier. Deer Valleys grooming game is top shelf! Best corduroy Ive ever skied. Skis only, so even the mogul runs feel like they were groomed just for you!

There were not too many people and there were no snowboarders. There are a wide variety of slopes and levels.

I call this the Ego mountain for intermediate skiers. Groomed long runs. Fast chairlifts. Very good lodges with good food. This is pampered skiing. However when the good powder gets deep all the Bogner people head to the lodges and leave the good stuff to the serious advanced skiers.

Expensive, crowded, long lift lines., the positive there are no boarders to hit you. Even when the parking lots are full, they still ask you to park at a remote location and shuttle in.
