My boyfriend and I recently visited Brian Head Ski resort. What I love about this resort is that it had two sides, one more beginner friendly, where we ended up going because it was his first time snowboarding. The lifts were great and the variety of trails were also beautiful. Looking out from the top of the lift, it was amazing to see the red rocks out in the distance. The price is what really sold us on coming, our tickets were $50-60 for our stay and we were on the mountain all day. As broke college students, we were super glad that the affordability gave us the opportunity to come, as our local resort would have been much more expensive. The lines were also very efficient and quick, which we appreciated. I also found it great that when buying tickets online, we were given resort credit which we could spend on food AND merchandise. Being from California, the prices were better here and everything was very reasonably priced and economic for a ski resort. The city is super small, so I would recommend grocery shopping down the mountain as prices are also way better. The rentals were also a great price and the equipment was fairly new, which I appreciated. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our time there. I am looking into going back again so that we can ski the harder slopes on the other side of the mountain. They had lifts on that side that were a walk from the AirBnB we stayed at which was super cool. I'd gladly make the 7 hour drive again, it was so much fun and super budget friendly. If you are a family with kids, looking for less crowded resorts, or are on a budget, I would really recommend this resort!

Great resort in Southern Utah! Even in bad snow years like this year, their ability to open and provide full access to most, if not all, of the available terrain is unmatched. Highly suggest giving them a try

Went here for my first time and had a blast! Great price, not too crowded. My instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. The runs were really fun and felt like the perfect balance for a beginner on the runs I went on. the food was a bit overpriced (as is too be expected) but the portion sizes were great. The wait for the lift was 5 minutes max so that was nice.

Brian Head is a great family resort, smaller and more mellow than high end resorts but that's what I like about it! Affordable and fun, and they get great snow for being in SO Utah.

We loved it. Beautiful area and a really mellow vibe. Great place to take the family. We opted for this over Mammmoth last year and I would continue to go back.

Been going to this resort for over a decade, learned to ski and snowboard here and it has always been a blast. Pretty small in comparison to other resorts and about 600 acres of skiable terrain but with the ablility to ski from lodge to lodge and across the whole resort without transportation is awesome.

We went very early season, about 10 days after opening so only 2 lifts were operational, however, still had masses of fun. The slopes were extremely well groomed and with the resort being as high as it is we woke up to fresh powder for day 2 of skiing. The runs that were open were looked after well and had a good amount of tree runs coming off them. Being a skier here we were a bit out of place, mostly people were snowboarding. Didnt ever have to wait long for a lift but didnt have lessons so cant comment on how they are. Eating out options are limited as is après options, not the type of resort for that but really good skiing none the less.

Love this resort, always a great time with friendly staff, lift lines move quickly and powder is crisp. Food prices a little steep but why not splurge when shredding!

Brian head is usually the first resort to open in southern utah and the last to close, but they do use fake snow. The bar is pretty good, and if you get Spencer as your waiter you're in for a good time.

Brian Head high altitude and dry cold weather help preserve snow conditions. The grooming team also does great work maintaining the runs. The entire resort is excellent for families with intermediate skiers, but advanced skiers can still find a lot of fun in easy to access shoots and in the trees.

One of the cheaper resorts out there.
Lots of great beginner to intermediate terrain. Has advanced terrain but theyre not that steep, generally pretty short, and not a whole lot of moguls. Has some tree skiing but theres not much.
Favorite part about this resort is the wide open groomers. You can carve for days!
Has many good instructors that teach beginners to intermediate well.
Great for the family as it has terrain for everyone, just nothing that hard.

I've been off skis for 19 years! Finally got up the nerve to do it again. Brian Head Resort was perfect for a reboot. Forgiving but fun runs. Great snow and almost no lift line wait. As my skills improve, there is plenty of terrain to give me a challenge.

I am a local adaptive sit skier. I have had to fight Brian Head constantly for anything resembling equal treatment for the last 3 seasons. Accommodation and training for adaptive skiers is sorely lacking even though I offer multiple times every year to various departments. I think this creates an unsafe environment for me. Any visiting adaptive skiers, and keeps Brian Head behind the times as adaptive skiing is the largest adaptive sport and has been around as long as snowboarding.
