I learned to ride at this mountain resort so it feels like home. Meadows is great and has great staff. Expensive food but great overall. I dont have much to compare other than mount bachelor in Oregon.

As a beginner, they have many beginner friendly terrain. I wish there were more places in the lodge to relax and sit by a fire. Employees are friendly and nice. Wish they could be better about keeping lifts open. I did enjoy their night skiing ops as a beginner! Tho I do wish it was more well lit

Mt. Hood Meadows has fantastic ski instructors and they make renting really easy. The beginner spring progression pass is a fantastic deal for new skiers or snowboarders. Lift lines can get long on busy days.

We were lucky & had fresh powder so all runs were amazing, day pass very expensive & lodge limited & expensive -$13 for a shot of baileys; $20 for 2 hot drinks and 2 small packets of sweets.

Great mountain! The variety of terrain is great, and when Heather Canyon and the other gate access areas are open, it makes for fantastic off piste riding.Plenty of natural features, as most runs are not direct fall line oriented. Makes for playful pitches, gullies, side hills, etc.

Meadows is a long standing family friendly resort with a great variety of terrain. Views are gorgeous and the drive up to the mountain is amazing. No accommodation on the mountain, but nearby in government camp. Opportunities to improve some of the older chair lifts

Amazing resort in close proximity to Portland. Really fun terrain with multiple parks that have features for all skill levels. Fun old growth tree runs and some pretty solid snow for the cascades. Very relaxed vibe, extremely family friendly, and a great value.

Mount Hood Meadows has been my home resort for three years now. Heres the good the bad and the ugly.
Terrain: good to great, some of the best steeps in the state. Smaller, but more challenging than Bachelor.
The bad: we get tons and tons of snow from November to May, but unfortunately a lot of it is heavy. And we even get the unlucky rainy period from time to time. Check the weather!
The ugly: weekend crowds can fill up the parking lots early (get there before it opens) and often they are unable to get all the lifts running (sometimes due to weather and wind speed).

They just added a new lift that will hopefully be faster and more efficient. They are very park friendly, especially at the beginning of the season. And the tree runs are very good. Off piste powder is very nice

Meadows offers steep slopes and advanced terrain to those seeking it. Heather and Clark canyons provide black and double black off piste terrain, though they are not always open. The main drawback to Mt hood meadows is the crowds, and lift lines can often be a long wait during busy days. Try HRM or Shooting star lifts to avoid some of the lines at the main lifts.
