Compared to other resorts at this price range, this one is good, but nothing worth traveling out of my way for. Ill give them credit, the runs they had were great, couldn't ask for better, but for the price I paid I feel like I could have done a bit better. Although I believe they have since expanded the range of mountains to shred since I have gone... so probably a me thing this could be a better resort than I remember

Nothing better than Donny Pelletiers home mountain, great vibes with the Maine locals, lots of great tree runs and powder stashes.

Sunday River rocks. Great variety of terrain and the wide mountain layout makes it so that you can find areas that feel less crowded. Really nice off piste options for the northeast. Apres and local beer/food scene is top notch

This is a great place for families. Ski school is top notch and had my 4 year old solo on blues after 3 lessons. Lots of trail variety with plenty of blues and greens, and I love the goat path as an intro to tree skiing. Maine in general is gorgeous too.

Sunday river is great with a ton of variety- ungroomed, groomed, moguls, etc. but they completely oversell the mountain. Half the time when I come at 9-10am they are already out of parking. They sometimes shuttle people from the golf course to the mountain, but I know if theyre doing that the lifts are nightmares. The lines for lifts are not lines- they are mobs. It looks like a concert some days. And lift attendants do nothing to prevent cutting and maintain some semblance of order. Its a great mountain but I wish they maintained a bit more order. Besides the chaos, they do a great job of blowing snow year round, are always open later in the season than most other northeast mountains, and have a large variety of trails to ski.

Sunday River It is a large mountain, very cheap considering the size, and in comparison to whats closer to me in Pennsylvania. Its a great overall mountain with good beginner to expert terrain.

Great mountain with a ton of terrain, has great cliffs, great off trail, great tree runs- but the crowds can be absolutely insane. Sometimes there isnt even enough parking which I find nearly criminal when you pay for a season pass and have to leave due to no parking I love the five different peaks and the restaurants and bars are great- often live music on weekends. If it werent for the crowds and the icy conditions it would be 5 stars. They do do a good job blowing snow and opening quite early though.

Theres a little something for everyone, great variety of trails and difficulty. Large resort where you can have trails all to yourself, even on the busiest weekend days.

My favorite mountain. I trained at Gould Sunday River. I love the blue and black runs. Obsession is my favorite trail.

Sunday River excels in snowmaking and a tremendous diversity of terrain across eight peaks. Every level of skier will enjoy this mountain. With the introduction of the Barker 6 for the 23-24 season, Sunday River also now has two high speed lifts with heated seats and a bubble.
