I just finished my four day passport program at Bogus Basin! The passport program to the ski school at bogus basin is an incredible value that teaches new skiers how to ski with professional and friendly instructors in a group setting anywhere from about four people to eight people per group. As a nonprofit mountain bogus basin gives back to the Boise community has great groomed runs new lifts open this year and a lodge that serves food and drink as well as an upper lodge that has a fun new bar sponsored by Western Collective. A very family, friendly resort that does have a variety of runs from green to black ,off trail, and groomed. Whether you are just a beginner or a highly experienced advanced skier or snowboarder theres a place for you at bogus basin.

Great resort for the price. Lots of terrain for every level. Ski out and in parking. Kid friendly, has cross country skiing as well.

It was really fun to ski here. I have tried my best to travel the US and ski everywhere, but thats hard without any skis. I always have to rent them so if I had some that would be great. Im also getting my Girlfriend to ski as well now.

Can be a fun mountain experience when the snow is dumping. However mountain is bare with fast ski lifts and small runs it can feel like there is more time in lines than out riding.

This is very local ski resort that a lot of people enjoy and provides to the community. The skiing is very relaxed in the front and is much more advanced on the back side of the mountain. This is a great resort to learn at because if this and has a very controlled intermediate level lift while you can go to much more advanced areas so there is a lot of good for new comers and lots of area for advanced skiers/snowboarders. If you ever come to Boise come try it out.

It's been a great resort to learn on for all ages and experience. It has some really nice groomed trails for the beginner class and a lot of modules and black diamonds for the more advanced. It has a great place to relax and get a bite to eat or drink. As well as it's own little ski shop to sell all sorts of ski and snowboard equipment. The rentals are pretty well priced and well maintained. And they have snow machines for the earlier winters so everyone can have fun sooner. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful when you need them and are always willing to help.

Overall good resort for its closeness to a city. 45 minutes up the hill that overlooks Boise. Because its on the southern edge of a mountain range. Snow totals here are not going to blow your socks off. But its closeness to Boise is what makes this spot a gem. Watch out on a powder day this becomes the most popular spot in Idaho. Gets tracked out pretty quick. If you have the nose for snow you can find powder a couple days after a storm. What is also nice is they have faces on all four cardinal directions so if its a very diverse mountain more then beats the eye but you have to understand weather and where to go or what face to hit after a good storm. Ski school for kids is the best in the state.

This ski resort is great for beginners. With a family friendly focus and a great bunny hill to learn on. They even have a tubing hill for those that dont ski/snowboard. If you want family friendly fun this is the place. However this resort has to artificially create most of there snow causing runs to become super hard packed and almost like ice. While you can still find spots of powder they are far and few between. Bogus basin is great for beginners to try the sport out due to their cheap pricing but more advanced riders will find better snow and terrain elsewhere.

The non profit style management makes this resort ultra cosy friendly and an amazing place to snowboard. Very local and friendly crowd and the ski patrol is lax compared to other mountains making it a very fun fuck around and find out area if you are into sketchy terrain. Pow doesn't show too much but when it does there are some nice uncharted areas. Food isn't great and very expensive but otherwise just fine. But overall lovely place and always a blast.
