Solda, or Sulden, located in the Ortler Ski Arena, offers a diverse range of slopes for all abilities, known for its breathtaking scenery and high-altitude skiing. The resort features long runs, including challenging descents and glacier skiing. It's a favorite for off-piste enthusiasts and free-riders, with its varied terrain and excellent snow conditions. The panoramic views of the Ortler Massif add to the skiing experience. The après-ski scene is more subdued, focusing on relaxation and enjoying the alpine environment. Solda is perfect for skiers who appreciate diverse terrain in a stunning mountain setting.

Reviews

As a beginner/intermediate snowboarder i really enjoyed solda there was a mixture of runs so i could start the week getting into the swing of things and build up my confidence throughout the week. The gondola and lifts were all great too. I was with family so didnt look for much apres ski but from what I saw there wasnt much happening, i think it is more of a family resort. Overall I thought it was really nice

Solda/Sulden is a ski resort which is located very high up in the alps, the little town is at about 2000m and the lifts can take you up to about 3300m so skiing till may is often not a problem. Obviously this means it is quite hard to reach, but that also means that there are little crowds; you barely have to queue 5 minutes on the most crowded lift. the food is amazing and the prices are quite low, especially the ski pass is the cheapest I have every seen. The facilities are amazing, there is about 45km slopes in total which are very well looked after. There is also a snow park which is opened at the beginning of the high season. Ski school is also great with loads of professionals which know their way round the mountain very well for anyone determined to explore the large variety of the off pistes. There is also a 10km cross-country ski track which is among the highest in Europe. During the day there are many après skies directly on the slopes, but as the facilities close, only one, located at the end of the valley remains open, it isn't big but it is big enough for the the amount of people attending. Prices are cheap in general, but the accommodation facilities are amazing and definitely worth the price. Definitely a place I'd recommend.
