It’s absolutely beautiful. Very dreamy views. The town looks out of a Christmas fantasy book. The food is incredible as well.

Chamois is a tiny resort only accessible via a cable car from Buisson, about a 15 minute drive from Cervinia. There is a bus from Cervinia too. It's a car free hamlet and as such has amazing crisp fresh air and no traffic. There are a few restaurants and bars that sell decent and cheap food, two at resort level and two up the mountain.

Accommodation options are limited but if the snow is good it's well worth a day trip from Cervinia or Valtournenche. It's unique and beautiful and although it only has 6 runs and 3 lifts almost the whole area has lots of accessible off-piste and a few lovely tree runs. The lifts are quite slow but the views are magnificent.

It's best to visit on a weekday when you'll pretty much have the slopes to yourself.

If you are a competent skier/snowboarder and the snow is good, it is possible to drop off the back of the top part of Chamois and ski off-piste all the way down to the hamlet of Cheniel. However there are no lifts so it's only possible by splitboard or touring skis as you have to hike back up. It's well worth the effort.

Really enjoyable and beautiful resort. The best Ive been to and not as popular as other Italian resorts. It has great runs and plenty of skiing opportunities with an amazing ski school.
