The resort was lovely. Part of a school trip, so it was moderately busy. The runs were great and many options for all abilities! Would definitely recommend for families and the ski-schools were great.

Bormio is a great little resort in the Lombardy region of the Italian Alps. It has high altitude skiing, with mostly red graded piste. It boasts a world cup DH run and is to be home to the 2026 Olympics DH events. You can stay at Bormio 2000 for ski in ski out accommodation, or in the town with a nice 'old town' area full of shops, cafes, and bars with lots of character. The Italian food is fantastic. The resort is great value too compared with more glamorous resorts elsewhere.

Not a huge ski area but an easily accessible resort with lovely skiing on beautiful, wide, quiet runs. Several nice mountain restaurants to take a break in.

Resort is lovely all round, I stayed in the Bormio 2000 hotel which was brilliant as it was about a 50m walk from the slopes and lifts, queue times were relatively short which is great as usually ski lift queues can get quite excessive. Only negatives would be the amount of snowfall on the pistes which was limited at the time, meaning lots of snowblowers had to be used. Pro tip for future skiers: Stick to the back side of the mountain if you prefer quieter runs, and there's a wonderful slope route that takes you all the way down into the local village of Bormio.

Bormio is an excellent ski resort, beautiful Italian alps and best of all it hosts most competitive races! Its well groomed and has a variety of choices, leaning more towards the advanced rather than beginner. This resort is a great choice

Has the Stelvio downhill to aspire to and good selection of wide reds and blues. Good nursery area at 2000m with good progression for aspiring beginners. A wide range of reasonably priced restaurants and a family friendly vibe!

Lifts are busy but filter through quickly so waits arent too long. The lifts do take a while however to reach the end. There are only a few places on the mountain to eat so get very busy. However, the food at these locations are excellent. The runs are very good in the morning, but cut up very quickly with a lot of skiers on the mountain so lots of breaks in the afternoon are required when the snow is very uneven. All the runs were open and there are some very good runs for beginner and intermediate skiers, however nothing too challenging for those more advanced. Some incredible views at 3000ft if the weather is right!

Very small but nice town at the bottom of the mountain. Long peak to creek run which is really fun. Some nice wide runs from bormio 3000 although maybe not best for beginners as exposed to different weather

Stayed at the Girasole 2000 hotel. It was very dated and had a 70s feel to it. However, Mary the receptionist was wonderful and the bar and food areas/ restaurants were all good. Food was basic but good. Drinks werent overly expensive and food was reasonable. The best thing about the hotel was the door step skiing. You literally walked out the restaurant doors onto the slopes. Perfect for quick access and excellent skiing. Would go back but would be nice to see a bit of money put into the interiors.
