The runs are long and enjoyable, but some routes are only accessible via a black, which isn't much fun for beginners and intermediates. A lot of slopes are in shadow for most of the morning, so it can stay icy for long periods.

We had the best trip at Dolomiti Superski over the Christmas break.
The sheer size of the location meant we could have skied a different run all day without having to do the same run twice. Plenty of options for beginner and more advanced skiers. I would definitely recommend skiing the Seller Ronda loop! Ski dominated resort with far less boarders.

Good but lifts are so busy had to queue 40 mins for one lift. Ski runs are very good though and lots of pistes are accessible. Food slightly pricey but not as bad as other resorts in France

Dolomiti Superski is a great ski area for intermediate to advanced skiers, with a range of interconnected pistes and optional long distance days around the Sella Ronda. It's not so great for beginners overall as mostly blue and red, but some individual areas within it, such as Selva Val Gardena, La Villa, Corvara/Colfosco are much more suitable with easy-access beginner areas. There isn't an apres scene like in a lot of French ski areas, it is more relaxed and about a nice spa and a drink in a bar after returning home, so great for those who aren't into drinking and partying as much! Mountain food is really well priced and good quality, and there are places all over so lots of choice wherever you are that day.

It was ok, decent enough snow, and pretty good apres ski, BUT prepare for legions of school parties in the slopes as well!

Dolomites as a whole is huge and great runs, you have big pistes and it doesnt get too busy. Its much cheaper and friendlier than other countries.
You have good links and can even drive to other resorts using the same pass. Its less drinking culture than many places and locals are great. Some really long runs with fantastic lifts

Fantastic resort for families looking for quieter resorts. Very accessible and reasonably priced. Slopes are not retracted in the afternoon so gets quite slushy and more difficult to ski if you are a beginner after lunch time. No night time entertainment, but if you are with young family it is that piece and quiet that you are looking for.
Easily accessible by car. I really like to lockers facilities where you can just leave all the gear after the day of skiing and not worrying about carrying it around.

If you like a wide ski area a bit off the beaten track then Drei Zinnem is for you! Its one of the most scenic areas
Ive skied as well with breathtaking views of the Dolomites all round.
For more adventures you can get a pass for the wider Dolomites super ski area.
Make sure to do some of the ski circuits that link all the resorts in the area.
Not so much apres as theses are small quiet billlages so mostly hotel bars. Good and drink on the mountain is great value and amazing quality.

the 3 Peaks Dolomites area is perfect for anyone who wants to really relax while enjoying some of the best infrastructure and scenery there is for skiing. The huge area covering 3 individual resorts is quiet even in peak season and it's rare to have to queue for any of the lifts. They've massively invested in the lift system over the past 5 years so most of the lifts are fast, comfortable and often have heated seats.
accommodation tends to be in family run hotels but these are excellent value especially on a 3/4 board basis. Almost all have a spa and wellness area as part of the package. Not many chalets but there are apartments available if you do some research.
Apres ski has been quiet but as the resort grows they are introducing more events at the end of the day plus some festivals and floodlit skiing. All the mountain restaurants and cafes are first class.
The skiing is almost all on groomers and there's everything from long nursery slopes to one of the steepest blacks in Europe to entertain you plus some beautiful long cruise traverses on the '3 peaks ski tour' (no climbing needed) which offer something really special to link up the Sesto/Moos area with Val Comelico and the Kreuzberg Pass. Cross Country is popular in the area and very well catered for at all levels if you fancy something different.
If you want more of a challenge you can add any of the Dolomiti Superski resorts to you pass and go explore the resorts on the Sella Ronda (Corvara, Val Gardena etc) or Cortina where there's more off piste as well as some opportunities for ski touring.

Brilliant week in Selva and the Dolomites. Snowed heavily on our first day and good snow throughout. Temperatures were high each day but the snow held.
Great variety of runs and excellent lift system which linked the famous Sella Ronda and it's numerous resorts.
Our 3 Hotel Pralong could easily be classed in a higher category with its level of service, quality of food and assistance. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed apres ski refreshments at a few establishments late afternoon before returning to the excellent Pralong.
Super week and will return.

Val Gardena - Selva is a beautiful Tyrolean resort set in the Dolomites in Italy. The locals speak 3/4 languages - Ladin, Italian, German and English.
The town has lively and quiet bars / cafes, supermarkets, shops and ski hire shops.
Access to the slopes in the valley and the wider network is easy via 2 cable cars and chair lifts from the town. There is also a free bus service along the valley to get to different starting points.
We stayed in the Hotel Praling, a smaller 3 star hotel but the service and facilities of the hotel were way above a 3 star rating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my birthday whilst we were there and in the morning at breakfast I came down to a card and chocolates as well as being given a cake with a candle at dinner.
There is a wide variety of accommodation to choose from.
The slopes were predominantly red with a few black and blues. They were wide and long; lined with fir trees. Stunning views across the Dolomites and fantastic skiing.
Highly recommend this resort and want to return soon!!
