Lovely quiet resort with great skiing locally and easy access to Alp dHuez. Not many lift queues in Vaujany but plenty if youre going towards Alp dHuez.
Very limited for après and even grocery shopping, a few restaurants.

First place I went to ski, really enjoyed it! Baby slopes on the left when you come out of the ski left, dont turn right!

Love Vaujany! You have the option of relaxed, scenic skiing, maybe while your children are in ski school at the bottom of the slope, or before you make the trip over the mountain to Alpe dHuez. The village is quaint and has everything you need! Bowling, swimming, and lots of fondue.

Was really great to spend a week in the French Alps. Vaujany is a quieter but still lively version of Alpe dHuez and is very well connected to the slopes. The accommodation was fine l, good location and what we needed apart from no hot water on some days and having to make our own beds/take laundry down at the end. Has reignited our passion for the snow and were looking forward to exploring more of the European slopes!

Nestled behind the lively Alpe d'Huez, Vaujany is a charming French mountain village just 40 minutes from Grenoble or 1 hour 30 minutes from Lyon. Ideal for families, it boasts a variety of accommodations, family-run restaurants, and bars. Whether you're a mountain enthusiast exploring Vaujany's tree-filled runs or seeking adventure on hidden trails, the resort caters to all levels. Beginners can benefit from the local and ESF ski school, while non-skiers can enjoy walking routes, swimming, a gym, or even ice skating. Rainy days offer bowling, interactive museums, and shops. Daytime beauty transitions into entertaining nights hosted by the village. Vaujany, with its warm people and captivating charm, has been our destination for over 15 yearsnow a beloved spot for our family with two children.

Great family friendly resort with ESF for the kids. Local ski pass is good for intermediate level with lots of red runs. With a guide there is also the possibility of lots of off piste. For more adventurous skiers you can buy a pass for the whole alp dhuez range and quadruple your ski area!
Village is quiet with not much going on, but the lift options is good. Lots of self catering accommodation but worth bringing lots of your own food supplies as the supermarket is small and limited.
