You need deep pockets for this resort. Otherwise the skiing is amazing. Stayed at the La Samovar hotel which was beautiful. Ski in/out.If your eating out book a restaurant the day you arrive as everywhere gets booked up in high season. Hotels foid was really great on half boardLunch isn't cheap but the many places to eat in the mountains gives great choiceThe skiing is the best we had in ages. Going up to the glacier is amazing. The que was horrendous though so get there in the morning as fast as you can ski. There more than enough ski runs for even the fastestest skiers including Tignes.Avoid school holidays the transfer time can be 9 hours by car as they implement a 20 minute red light on the roads . Get a train transfer takes 2 hours then a taxi upto resort 40 minutes. Will go again despite the cost.

Amazing resort with some of the best runs around and beautiful towns and restaurants. Slightly on the harder side of intermediate, the standard blue is more like a red in most other French resorts.

Very good quality skiing at a price and not affordable for most people or people on a budget. Good efficient ski system and high altitude skiing

The best resort there is. Such a big ski area, awesome apres and a very pretty town. Plenty of powder to the side of the slopes.

The resort is great. Very picturesque and pretty in the village. Getting up to the slopes is easy via the buses (free) that service the village, dropping and picking up and main locations. Great is youre a beginner to advanced skier. Lots of variety for everyone. Its an expensive resort however the experience was amazing !

I loved val disere, it is like an upper class party resort but also full of families and very suitable for family holidays. There were no uni students here which I find common at most more party resorts, so the crowd was older when going to Apres ski and out at night, which was much better. There was a lot of piste options, the ends of all the runs were red slopes coming back down into the town so most beginners would travel back down in the ski lifts. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone as it does cover everything and the views are genuinely stunning due to the resort starting so high and sitting in a valley there is no part of the view without snow!

We travelled to Val dIsère in March of last year. There was no fresh snow but plenty of coverage to enjoy all the mountain. Almost everything is above the tree line so there were not as many tree glades as Id hoped for. There are only a few groomed trails down to the main village so they can get pretty busy at peak times. Otherwise, the mountain is huge and the lifts are incredibly fast allowing for exploration of such a large area. There are many cute restaurants to choose from on and off the slopes. The club on the mountain is a fun bonus addition to pop by and experience. Coco rico has a great après ski vibe.

Amazing! One of the best places I have skied so far! Checks all the boxes. Great skiing, great food, GREAT Apres. Will be going back!! And if you are looking for a more budget friendly option you can stay in Tignes as there are buses back and forth. Highly recommended

Best all round resort in Europe. Skiing 8/10, apres 9/10. Lifts all very well maintained. Posted groomed well.
