What Skiers Say About Morzine

Morzine attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with families and groups of friends commonly mentioned. Reviewers consistently highlight the resort's location within the Portes du Soleil area, offering easy access to Avoriaz, Les Gets, and a large variety of terrain. The town itself is praised for being a real Alpine town with numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, and the free shuttle bus service is frequently noted as efficient. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback, with lower altitude slopes sometimes suffering from lack of snow or becoming slushy, though higher areas like Avoriaz are noted as more snow-sure. Après-ski options and value for money are generally well-regarded, though some mention the resort can get busy during peak periods.

The resort is well connected and when staying with a chalet company with transport easy to get across into avoriase for a better range of skiing we had beginners and advanced skiers in our group an everyone was happy with the location and ski options. The connecting ski runs were very busy but if you can see past that and once on actuall runs much quieter and easier to navigate.
The folie in avoriase for apre is one of the best I’ve been to with a short ski back to a bubble to get back safely. There are also options in morzine for apre that are packed each night that don’t require any skiing after.

Skiing over Christmas for the first time - it was busy for the bank holiday days but ok the rest of the time.
Pistes are really well looked after and there is a really broad area to ski generally. The spares ski options were amazing.

I loved it! You have Avoriaz, Les Gets and Morzine. So many places to ski and great Apres! I would definitely recommend going mid-season as it isn't very high so snow can vary.

Great for families and staying in Morzine gives you the option to ski avoriaz too which is higher and more challenging than Morzine\Les Gets. Not overly priced in terms of food and drinks.

Morzine is a well connected town, not often very snowy but you can be up in Avoriaz within 15/20 minutes, choosing the retire in Morzine with a bigger nightlife and more accessibility

Returned to morzine for the second time this year, first time in a small apartment with family, self catered. The second with a large group of 30 somethings so very different trips but perfect for both.

Absolutely loved it. We went as a group of 11 and 7 of us had never skied before. We all want to go back as soon as possible and we all have such bad holiday blues which we haven’t experienced so heavy before. Loved the apres and was just such a laugh. So many stories to tell and so many memories made

It was a great base to explore the mountains with the family and our friends. The slopes were well maintained with lots of ski schools to choose from and a number of bars and restaurants.

Morzine to me feels like a lived in village with more charm than most resorts.
While the snow can sometimes be a bit thin at lower altitude it is very well connected to higher areas.
A great night life of bars and restaurants. Plenty of choice of accommodation to suit different budgets. Love it

One of my favourite resorts. The slopes are lovely and the road ways are stunning. The town its self is small but big enough to have things to do and close enough to other towns to see those as well.

Good family friendly resort but it is lower down and has years of poor snow, pushing everybody to the higher Avoriaz, make slopes extremely busy. Barely any ski to do for convenience, cars are a must as buses are crazy busy, this obviously impacts apres if you need to drive. Better as a holiday homeowner than tourist I’d say

Always love Morzine for its family friendly skiing and snowboarding, along with the links over to Les Gets! You can create a whole day of adventure and there is definitely something for everyone. The Tremplin at the bottom of the Stade Run (Pleney lift) is newly decorated and fabulous for Après. The restaurant Colibri over the road is also fantastic for family dining (specially for the little ones)

Morzine is a winner Everytime as there is definitely something for everyone!
