Best Runs in Les Carroz

Les Carroz offers some solid options across the Grand Massif ski area, though you'll be heading out towards Flaine and Samoëns for many of the best runs. Here's what stands out:

  • Vernant (Green): A mellow green that takes you from the Molliets sector back down towards the village, ideal for building confidence on your first few days.

  • Chevennes (Blue): A long, sweeping blue that runs down through the trees from Les Molliets, perfect for cruising and working on your turns in a scenic setting.

  • Serpentine (Blue): A winding tree-lined run that snakes its way down from Tête des Saix, offering a fun, flowing descent when you're getting comfortable with linking turns.

  • Verte (Blue): One of the area's longest blues, stretching from Tête des Saix down to the Sixt valley, great for racking up vertical and enjoying varied terrain.

  • Combe de Gers (Red): A classic red descent from the Tête des Saix that holds its pitch well and can get bumpy later in the day, perfect for intermediates wanting to push themselves.

  • Cascades (Red): A steeper, more direct red that drops down the front of Tête des Saix with consistent gradient, excellent for practising carved turns at speed.

  • Styx (Red): A narrow, technical red run through the trees that demands good edge control and line choice, especially when moguls form up.

  • Diamant Noir (Black): The steepest on-piste option directly accessible from Les Carroz, dropping sharply from Tête des Lindars with a sustained pitch that'll test your nerve and technique.
